Hey guys an gals I've taken the plunge again instead of a closet autoflower cfl grow, I've headed into a 600w tent grow. After having great success with CFl bulbs I took to the net to buy a 300w cfl dual spec bulb, I'd already purchased the tent kit off ebay and thought about keeping to what I know as I'd always delt with CFls. .... I wasn't sure how many plants I could get in a 120 square tent so went for 4..... After readying up I went for 2 pineapple chunks and on my brother in laws advice an afghan kush and a 8ball kush, I was promised some Cleese cuttings but these never arrived......
i cracked the seeds as I knew in wet paper and all 4 seeds cracked within 2 days and I had already got a soil mix of a grow bag with Epsom salts added.
i placed the seeds into 2 inch peat pots and put them under a 36w cfl daylight bulb which I had from previous grows. The afghan came through first followed by the chunks then the 8ball. I kept them in a 18 and 6light cycle and the temp in the tent was a cool 79. I was watering them every 3 days just enough to moisten the soil around them, after 18 days I noticed that the chunks were falling behind, and as I've left this grow blog late its too late for advice... It got to the point that the chunks jus stopped growing, they started to turn a yellow and brown colour and with the kush up to there 3rd set of leaves and the chunks lookin like they had only been growing for a few days... I decided to take the plunge and ditch the chunks..
the 300w cfl dual was put in and set about 12 inches about the plants and 3 days in the bulb stopped working... I contacted the company and they agreed to replace it yet this never happened due to them saying they never received it back... Wat a load of crap I took the plunge and bout a 600w bulb a nod I must say the results so far have been awesome. I vegged th e kush for 30days and started to feed a weak feed of chempak high potash feed which is 15-15-30, the plants seemed to love it yet I found the temp for the room shot up towards the 90s so e fans and extraction where on full go and that seemed to help. A little after 2 weeks they started to show white hairs and I got a little to Egar and was feeding them every 3 days, the plants loved it and grew really quick until I fed them a 100% strength feed 2days after the previous feed. The afghan didn't mind yet the 8ball started to show a bit of nut burn around the edges of the leaves yet a flush and just a week of water and she's back to full health. The following day my friend turned up with 3 k2 cuttings....so much for the cheese and a month after I was promised but wat the hell I put them in and they have gone on 12 - 12' yet because the 600w is high up I have placed a cfl 2700k above them and they seem to be doin well. I'm now on day 32 of flower and the. Smell is amazing, will post some pics below and any advice would be great fully recieved
