I buddie of mine gave me a large broken branch from one of his nearly mature plants. I took it home & put it in the freezer overnight. I then put the fresh frozen buds into my 160mic bubble bag with 2lbs of dry ice & shook for 5min.....Live fresh frozen trichs

Have you ever pressed a fresh cut bud? Curious how messy it is but won't have any for another month.
I think it would be too juicy with plant liquid. The fresh frozen buds tumble out nice dry ice kief.
I just squished out more, I get a couple of new pics...

Well, I tried pressing some fresh buds today. Actually, just one bud. Not as messy as expected, But does require some dry time to collect.
The yield is very poor because the bud is just too soft and over flattens, even when pre-compressed into a pellet. The taste is pretty terrible, most likely too much chlorophyl leaching out.
However, it does allow one to sample the high, which could prove useful in gauging desired harvest date. That is the only reason I can think of to ever do this again!

i was just in Colorado and bought some ridiculous "Non-solvent live resin"

I have been racking my brain trying to figure out how they make that shit. the best i can come up with is they do something like the dry ice method.
When you did this do you think you would get less plant matter in if you used a smaller Micron bag?

Also do you think this could be done using trim?

I'm pretty seasoned at making bubble hash but this dry ice thing is new to me.
