Yep...Moose does it all the time. We thought it was something wrong with him because when we first adopted him all he did was go "Hurmm, Hurmmm, Hurmmm" really high pitched. He has it mastered too. It does it whenever he wants something. Or someone, or something. They're big babies.

detemper shots? owned several amstaffs inmy lifetime and nonee of them needed distemper shots. if anybody suggested it id probably spit in their general direction

If you have deer around he probly smells them. And he may think thats where both of your food comes from. Therefor he may feel you neighnor is competition for your food and his. Thats what was with my dog. Every season around this time she's a bit bitchy. She's fixed and i really think its all about food and wanting to eat a deer. My fear is she may not come back.

My min pin got a distemper shot. But she has always been a real good dog, and if it supposed to curb aggression. It doesn't work, when she needs to get pissed she does. My beagle loves to get her riled up and she certainly does. And the beagle mix is the one that wants to eat a deer.

exactly. Moose is a very tame submissive dog. He was even before he got any shots. He's loving to small dogs, and humans (He hates bigger dogs because they try to dominate him) but if he needs to get rowdy or does...It's down right scary. There are deer but they don't usually come around. It was def the guys.
