Hi there everyone..

I have before now not bothered growing my own but with the rising prices in quality herb.... time to dump the dealer!!!

I have done 4 big buddah blue cheese for my first. veg'd them for too long and have now got some mammoth mummies!!

Anyway... they've been flowering now for 10 weeks and flushing using vitalink flush to remove the vitalink max for 2 weeks...

My biggest question is my top leaves have gone yellow and the buds are getting whiter nearer the top...

do I now move over to plain ph'd water or do I carry on using the flush suppliment... can I just harvest or do I wait for the leaves to lose their colour????

Flush just seems to be taking a rather long time... I use an Autopot system... so I have no circ system.. would this effect how they flush???

All Comments very Welcome..

to me you plant seems fine at the end of the plants life the leafs will turn yellow because it is using the last of the nitrogen and the rest of the nutes left in it plants usually ripen
from top to bottom so that may be why tops are whiter instead of greener like the bottom
the first pic and the last pic looks done to me man but i am no expert

Yeah some of the yellowing is normal at the end but your also flushing, taking away all their nutes so they are gonna cannibalize the nitrogen out of the fan leaves first making them yellow and wither.

Personally I think flushing is all hokem because every other farmer in the world out there never flushes, they harvest at the peak of ripeness and that's when plants need their food the most.

So basically you can just harvest whenever the trichs are ready imo. =)

Use plain water to the finish now. This yellowing after flush is normal as the plant uses the carbohydrates stored in the older fan leaves. As Wimpy said the first and third pics look ready or close to it. The second pic has a week or two to go. You must look at the trichomes and compare the color of clear, cloudy and amber ratios to determine when to harvest. This is the most reliable indication of ripeness.
