I think it has more to do with the people buying not knowing that much about lighting. If you would of shown me that about a half a year ago I probably would of thought it was a good deal but now that I know all about lighting I know I can just go to Home Depot and buy the CFL's and shop light clamp fixture for half price

exactly...its all about ignorance (not knowing)
 
I remember a long time ago before I knew a lick about growing one of my friends tryed to grow a plant in his closet using miracle-fro and a blacklight and back then I thought it was a pretty good plan. I just think it's people diving in way too fast before they really gotta grasp of what's going on.
