Looking For A Paid Mentor

You can trade those Amazon gift cards for cash or gift cards from Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. I'll post a link for you. Maybe you can swap for some gift cards for hydroponics stores!?!

lol, you didn't miss that nail head by far. I wouldn't call it a panic, but there's concern haha.

I don't expect to see a profit for a while, but I am banking on this eventually replacing a less than ideal money making strategy. One plus is a fairly steady stream of amazon gift cards, The way I see it much of it won't be coming out of pocket.

I would look into a grow tent, then add another one once you figure it out.

4 X 4 x 7 -> 600 watt + Air cooled Hood + Carbon Scrubber , etc. should be less than $600.

Just my $ 0.02, if I were getting started.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

don't go up to counter at Home Depot, with a "Grow Cannabis at Home" set. spread your purchases around.
and don't tell anyone.......nobody

the tents do indeed look easy. Thatd save me a ton of work, but how about cooling? I suppose youd want the area around it cooled? In the scenario Im looking at now, the room im building would be the only area with A/C. Window unit.

Therein lies the problem with tents!!! I have 2 brand spanking new ones that I used for about 2 weeks. Save yourself the hassle and find an alternative to tents.

Just buy a slightly smaller fan and use some ducting from the window to the fan and a little bit more from the fan to the tent, that'll bring in the cooler air, add a dimmer switch to the wire on the fan and it'll be more managable for the cooler winters and hotter summers.

Or you could get a length of ducting 1 size bigger then your exhaust fan and have a negative pressure inlet.
if you have a large length of duct from the window toy can add tee piece ducting going to smaller duct and have them running into your different rooms.

The options are endless really, its upto you weather you want it to look pro, if your bothered about sound ect. i see it as more money just tends to mean more stealth.

Edit: and more reliability, dont buy cheap stuff that'll burn the house down. Always be safe and always check the wires and connections.

Fans range in price but the more expensive ones will have more features and prob quieter.

be nice for veg if u only had one room

It "would" be good for that. But I see people putting up a tent in the middle of a room when they could just put the grow open right there. The only thing the tent could add would be some reflectivity, but secondary light like that isn't really worth the effort IMO, if you have an adequate hps overhead. Seems to me tents just create heating problems.

yep a tent in the middle of a big empty room is stupid

You will need at least three 1000w lights to cover the space you have or four 600. The bulbs for the 1000w are less money than a 600. The bulbs are good for 1 year of use. If you are in a place that gets real hot you will need a chiller for the water as plants sitting in warm water is asking for problems.

With an Air Cooled Hood - a 600 watt is usually only 10 degrees F higher than the ambient temp.

I live in So Cal so heat is always an issue, tent or no tent. When it is 100 degrees I still run a tent in my garage without air conditioning. I run my flower tent 12/12 starting at midnight.

When it is cool, the 600 watt HPS acts like a heater. :leaf:

What happens when it's 85 at night and 95 in the tent? I like my temps under the light at the top of the foliage, to begin with a 7.
