for about a 100 bucks or less you can buy one of those paper carbon filters
they are light weight and cheap
if thats to expensive for you
i would try using a barrel and inlaying it with steel mesh then put the carbon in it and pack it down. keep doing this till its basically full then seal the top and run the fan into it. cut a hole in the bottom so the air can go thru the charcoal and out =)
gl man hope it helps

thnx kingteg, thats got me thinkin.i guess pushing air through carbon opposed to pulling it through, shouldnt make a difference?

yes it does make a difference.u want the filter and fan to suck the odor out of the room, so u put filter on the vaccum side of the fan so the fan is sucking the air in the room threw the filter with a piece of ducting on the other side of the fan exhausting it out.

i just blow the air into the carbon filter than out
it doesnt really matter it can work both ways =) just depends what you prefer
