The doctors say that weed doesn't really help with the pain as much as it distracts you from it, particularly chronic pain/arthritis/joint problems.

I know there are tons of you folk on this website who have toked more grass than I've seen in pictures!

I'm leaning towards growing violator kush, jack the ripper, and possibly banana kush.

Sativa, indica, whateverica.

Harlequin perhaps?
Harlequin is good, but I'm not sure you're going to find the real thing in seed form right now.
Here are some alternatives; Cannatonic, Grand Daddy Purple, Vortex, and OG Kush.
All of the above listed strains are good for pain relief.
I hope that helps, good luck.

Cannatonic is a nother high CBD no? I have been quite impressed with the OG in the past, ghost cut I think was my favorite, really slow tolerance build and quite distracting.

Correct, it has a 1:1 THC to CBD ratio, which is supposed to be around 6% or 7%.

Pot snob has arriveth....And I can't stress Blueberry strains enough.
Blueberry is known for pain relief and management, quelling nausea and bringing down anxiety as well. If you can get your hands on a strain called Blue Dream, go for that immediately.
Otherwise Look for pure indicas or indica-leaning hybrids.

TGA has really strong medicinal properties in a few of their strains: Space Jill/Space Queen, Chernobyl, Jack the Ripper. They are on their game right now, everyone who orders from them including me are all happy.
An underrated medicinal strain is Short Stuff Dr. Feelgood. Also consider World of Seed Medical collection, Riot Seeds Stormy Russian Blue.

Fuck yeah! This shit is exactly what I had in mind when I posted this thread.

My nearby producer (best in state imho) has some great blue dream that is 20%THC and off the walls cool looking, only problem is it is a bit to sativa and racy for my personal strain.

Blueberries are the shit when it comes to pain, but I have not found many legit blueberries, I grew one this summer that was a fucking joy to smoke.

The only problem is that the clone came from an anonymous donor via associate with only "blueberry" to go with. I should have fucking cloned it, I miss it so much :(

And everything you say about TGA is good refreshing news as well, I'm really thinking about Jack the Ripper, lemons and mango hash... mmmmm

Thanks again
