no TGA Subcool? I've decided to try AK47 which is my mate's choice and SSH or Mango Haze (yet to decide) thanks to your posts, learned a lot!! I'm awere SSH isn't for begginers (why?) I just can't resist. if I risk my ass it's better be for some quality. these babies are gonna have some really nice outdoor conditions..

it must be the prices then because i've seen almost universal praise for TGA.

to me... any of the stuff that doesn't make it to the streets is awesome enough eg. 8 miles high by mandala. the "highest rated" strain i've ever smoked has to be kali mist, and i loved it, but it's not a favorite because it's hard to sit still on and listen to tunes on where 8 miles high has a nice mellowed out bliss that isn't a "one trick pony".

it's all subjective anyways. everyone's tastes are different. diesels are hugely popular, but the 2 i tried tasted vile to me. onyx had an awesome buzz, but the flavor is an abomination to mother earth for me.

Jer La Mota: Banghi Haze is something I have been looking at for awhile, I have never found it in stock anywhere. Ace does have some interesting strains, in the future I'm going to give there Orient Express and Nepalse Jam a try. I believe there orient express makes up of half the original Casey Jones strain, that's another strain I would love to find.

Very true. some of them have aloud their quality to slip in favour of profit.
That being said some great hybrids have been created from work of these guys.

She can be stretchy and demanding. A good few phenos

If you get an already selected pheno it can be less demanding. (Hypro amnesia is MSN SSH)

I sorta agree with brick on subcool. sure he as some great strains. But their very unstable. I like some to chernobyl I have. Plus he is nothing more than a hacker.
Breeding is more selection from mass
Hacking is more clone x clone

Price does not factor into how I feel, not in the least. When I bought the house I live in, back in 1987, I wrote a check for it, there has never been a mortgage on it since I bought it. I was able to retire at the age of 49-years old. Price of seeds is not a factor to me.

But some of us old timers who know his history feel very different about him than the puppies here who think he is some sort of superstar and who kneel before him and symbolically suck his dick with praise every chance they get.

You see; "almost universal praise for TGA" here because he hangs out here, so that makes him the resident rock star of breeding to the RIU puppies. But there are sites where if you just mention his name you will be laughed or ridiculed off the site, that is unless of course you are knocking him and or his gear.

I have to say, I have recently started growing TGA, and I am less than impressed. Sure, it has some nice smells and colors, but the potency and overall buzz is lacking from my experiences.

With most of his gear you have to go phenotype hunting and hope to find a special one, that often times will take multiple packs to find, and then be able to keep a mother of it. If you find one and can keep a mother it can be pretty darn good. I will say that much for him. But I have known, as in personal friends, people who went through several packs or more of his seeds and did not find one single keeper.

What they did find though was more different phenotypes than Connie Hamzy had dicks in her heyday. ("Sweet, sweet Connie was doin' her act, She had the whole show and that's a natural fact...")

Bullshit, I am smoking it, and at 4-5 months in the jar, its smoking MUCH better than 30 days in the jar. The buzz is more well-rounded, the tastes are much better, the smells are better. Hands down in every possible way, the buds I have had in jars for many months blows away the same bud I smoked at 1 month.

No offense but DJ shorts, Sensi and white label all went to shit years ago. they offer the same things that they used to but the quality has degraded or others have offered better, his blueberry is a joke these days, and most of sensi's award winners have descended because of faulty selection. white label was never good to begin with speaking frankly, its just a branch for sensi's less worked strains.

I think i read somewhere that if you do it all right very little if any thc degrades when curing long term. So i bet your right

Thisis one of the Mango Haze plant si had, this one threw out soem nanners so i culled it, kept a cut and im gonna try it again in the future , the pheno iw as smoking and talking about leaned more to the Skunk in structure, taste and a lil in the high dept , top shelf gear!

Chimera is great gear to , and Peak Seeds BC sells some of the most under rated gear around ! hands down.. i got soem growin right now if anyone wants to see it. Cannacopia also has soem killer stuff , all thier gear is fathered by Deep Chunk afghani and is rock solid

I would never say they have as high of quality as they had at some point or points in the past. But even not being all they once were, they still are better than most breeders out there, especially the new ones you see popping left and right.

That is why I said Sagarmatha used to be a top breeder I used a lot along with Reeferman. Both went downhill enough that I cannot presently consider them among the upper echelon. The only reason I said Joey Weed used to be is because Joey Weed is closing down.

I half expected someone to rely something like that. But then stop and think how a bunch of guys in their 60's, The Rolling Stones, can still sell out entire tours with 70,000 or more seat venues, and then think how many modern groups that some of you loved and thought were great couldn't sell out a whole tour of 20,00 seat venues, or are playing clubs again or no longer exist.

There is a belief among puppies that newer is always better, and that goes for breeders and strains alike. But that is anything but true. Most more modern breeders could not begin to compare with the older breeders.
