Looking for knowledge on 2 new HID light systems

Hey guys, a few questions here. I was looking to buy 2 new HID digital bals with a dim 1000 w. Here are the 2 units

HID HUT's own build
1000W HPS/MH 120/240V Dimmable Digital Smart Ballast for $279.00 Cords included.

2nd
is a BADDASS Ballast by Advanced Nutrients - - BaddAss Low Frequency Digital Ballast
$425.00 Plus cords..

IS there much different in the operations other then the low freq?
Anyone have these units????

sorry for this,

What about doing this instead.

2 600W DUAL Lumatek Digital Ballast with 4 600 dig bulbs.

Just trying to get the biggest bang for my buck

I dont want to waste my money, I know a 5 year warr is good but will it be out dated by then?

Thanks

Ligts would be for 2 4x8 tables... I have been using 2 old 1000 HPS with ok results, I just need to save on Heat and elect, Total area would be 12x14... Has anyone had good results with 2 600W DUAL Lumatek Digital Ballasts? I am thinking this maybe the way to go. I am going to use 8" air cool refl for the 4 hoods too so That in it's self should cool the room down.

Thanks again for the help

the bad ass ones are junk my local hydro shop just sent back a hole shipment due to returns on bad ballast
and im not sure about the other brand, if I had to buy a digi it would be lumatex. but a MAG oldschool
ballast are more reliable. the hole 30% more light is BS and digital ballast been known to blow dual ark
bulbs, and the dimable thing why buy a ballast of a ?watts and dim it, save money and buy a lower watt
ballast if diming is the selling point for digitals. as you probibly can tell im 100% against them and have
multible friend that have closets with them just geting dust cuz they ended up being junk

r u guy's refering to Lumatec's Dual arc bulbs???

I was lookn at a set up at the hydro store, it was a 1000 watt Dimmable ballast with a Dual arc bulb its called... Its a bulb that runs HPS and MH at the same time all in 1 bulb...
They were selling the reflector, glass cover, yo-yo hangers, 1000watt Dual Arc bulb, cords, and a Dimmable Ballast that runs at 500watts-700watts-1000watts-and the Super Lumens witch is like an extra 10% in reality = all for around $550.00 ...

Is that a good deal ???
Is that system any good ???

I'm running a 400 watt HPS now and wanting to upgrade ...

Ok thanks for the info, I am going to go ahead and buy 2 of the Dual 600W 240V units with new shades... Its going to kill the wallet for the first setup but Its the way to go.

I found the Dual 600W for $311 each no cords or anything but Shit thats a damn good deal.

Just need to find the right 600w bulbs and 8" hoods :)

Let me ask guys.... Should I have a single 40Amp 240 wire reun in with a 4 to 8 plug timer setup or just run 2 sep wires to each unit and hard wire it to the timer?

I was looking at a C.A.P. 8 Light Controller w/Dual Trigger &
Master Light Controller, 30 Amp @ 120/240vac w/4-120vac plugs

What ya think??

I have a single timer now on a Box that I made up but Its not a pro unit like the above...
Man I love this site

I use that and its work great for me, if you do get it get the 15min delay conroler for it for hot strikes like power outs and stuff

Headaches,

Guys once again help is needed to shut down my brain.

What will work better, 4 Medium ADJUST A WINGs with 4 LARGE SUPER SPREADERs

OR

4 8" air cool reflector hoods?

I am going to run the 2 600 W dual 240v dig, So heat should be cut down right??

What do you think abut the Wings????

Sorry guys I just want to make sure My money is spent the best way possible :)
