Make a nice scrog in a 4x4... 2-4... Really 3 but no more than 4... 4 would be pushing it... It would be interesting to see how it would go... I just might have to set up my scrog and do that myself...

Yeah, maybe @Bud2theBone should look at my photos i posted to see the crowding issue I have with 7 haha. I couldn't imagine 20 or 30, especially with different phenos. All three of my AP autos have way different growth patterns

I was suggesting you switch to 12/12 yes. I know you want to get the most out of the autos, but that is gonna be another 7-10+ weeks before they are done(there is no way to know until they are closer). Your photo plants are gonna be huge and way over sized by that point.
So my suggestion to switch to 12/12 was to get all of the plants flowering as soon as possible. The autos will still flower out just fine under 12/12. They might lose a small amount of yield, but that will be made up for by having all the plants flowering.

Sadly I have no lights right now
. I gave them away when I moved across the country a couple months ago. The move went great though, and I'm working a good job here so light buying will start again soon 
. Now that I'm in Oregon I can even expand more without the fear of living in a prohibition state.

Yeah, I'm probably gonna take this advice. Additionally, I just don't have enough light for huge plants anyway. Guess I'll go through and check for light leaks in my tent tonight, and do the flip. Doing autos and photos sounded like a good idea in my head, but i quickly realized how much additional work i have to do. I cant mix one batch of nutes since the autos can only handle about 500 ppm and the photos need almost double that. I have definitely learned a lesson. My ignorance led me to assume that the autos would be done by the time quoted by the seed bank, and I'd have 2 month vegged photos. Here's a update photo to see just how out of hand its gotten in just a few days Thanks for the advice everyone. Hopefully someone will see this thread if they have the same idea I had, and not do it like me...

i really have no love for auto plants. Newer growers hear the name “autoflower” and read about not changing lights and they think autos are easy to grow and will finish extra fast. When in the reality of it neither of those things is actually true.
It also really doesn’t help that many auto breeders do dumb shit like list seed to harvest times. There are to many variables in growing a plant, even an auto, that will change how long veg takes and when you harvest a plant. Genetics being the biggest. There can be significant genetic differences even in the same batch of seeds.

Exactly, which is why all three of my autos are completely different in size, structure, and when they started flowering. After this experience, its photos all the way. Way easier to deal with. They claim autos are easy to grow and are best for inexperienced growers, but thats far from the truth. They are very sensitive to any kind of stress and nutes.

Problem starts with you though. You need to REALLY research. Difference between pollon chuck and breed even with photos. The top of the chain auto breeders at the moment IN MY OPINION are Mephisto and Dinafem and right behind if at all are Sweet Seeds, Dutch Passion and Fast Buds. Heard good on Bomb as well. For example wherever you got you're autos were they F5 or F7 like Mephisto a real breeder? Nope. Probably a gen 1 seed put up for sale.

And to be clear, I am fairly inexperienced. This is only my second grow. I had HPS lighting the first time that I borrowed from a friend, and i wish i still had it. I'm using cheap LEDs that really only good for one plant. "1000 watts" I was aware that they weren't quality when i purchased them, but it's a bit of a budget grow, and its all for me!

You’re good man. We all start some place, my first light was a hand me down hps with an old ass bulb that still worked for a couple grows while I learned. Then I built a veg light with cfl bulbs and electrical connectors
. I used that veg light for the last 10 years for my clones and seedlings. As you get more grows in you will make upgrades and figure what style grower you are
