Looking for your input, Aero/NFT 50 site.

oh, hello. After going through schematics and pictures of other DIY growers and commercial systems - I'm trying to maximize my yield with one system as opposed to 3-4 smaller + extra pumps et cetera. thanks to microsoft, I hacked my pc and totally bruteforce tapped into my paint program to draw a ROUGH sketch to get some initial input. I'm using the aero 50 site cloner, two 25 site vegative systems, and one 50 site flowering unit. however..As I have come across other people or companies that use aero/nft and have maybe around 28-36 sites in theirs, I know aeroflo has their commercial product of 61 sites and i'm not about to blow a grand on that. Using stinkbuds way (or if you have a better option..i'm open) of delivering and receiving the nute water (pvc ran up inside the fencing) would the rough sketch of my attached image be plausible? what pump? what amount of nutes?
Using a 50 gallon rubbermaid roughneck large bin, five - 5" pvc fencing that runs 10' with 10 holes on each. 11 sprayers down each rail. the pictures measurements are rough as well but pretty spot on.
http://face-up.tripod.com/hydroponics/id1.html Here is more inspiration on this product to help shed light. Does anyone have any instructions/help/anything to help this project get going? I'm trying to limit the wattage. i know most of you are shunning me already from using the idea of two 400 or 600 watt hps because you would rather me use 2-1000 watt but i don't believe i can. We're poor, maybe in the future if this works out. but in the mean time..yeah. Light will be covering growth area of around 9' by 3'.

holler at your boy. Nah, I'm totally white.

you don't need much of a pump if you're doing nft. maybe a 250gph so it doesn't go too slow...or slow is good too for nft so maybe a 150gph? if you do the drains like the aeroflow, you can also ebb and flow with it. as far as nutes go i always use 1/2 strength of what the bottle says. i learned this the hard way after burning my plants a couple times. surprisingly (not really), i have never noticed a difference by using less, only i don't burn 'em any more. looking forward to seeing how this works out for you...

Thank you fresh for that, I thought I was going to have to go around 590-600 gph for a pump judging by other people's rigs but you are right so I will stick with a typical one. I'm making small revisions to this set up, after I finalize real dimensions I'll hopefully make some schematics for other people to build it. I plan on using top sprays on both sides of each netpot. It's going to be awesome. The tank is actually around 54 gallons, not that it will matter much but, From your nute info I should start off by reading whatever nutrients I use and cut the dose in half. how many gallons of water should I use around?

I've read people using between 1800 and 2000 ppm but reading some post earlier on someone else's aero/nft set up, they operated around 200 ppm and still ended up burning them. I'm going to have to re-read some chapters in my books. Again I appreciate your reply, I didn't think I was going to have anyone care.

going to be ballin' soon.

oops, sorry yo I forgot you're wanting to do aero too. the pump I was talking about was for NFT or ebb and flow. there are better pumps for aero than the pond style pumps, like external pumps they use for recirculating current systems maybe?

I usually fill my res up all the way and then top it off every day or two until i've added about as much water as more than half the res and then i'll either change it out or top off w nutes and repeat

sure man, from what i have read high pressure aero systems will clog nozzles at high ppm but doesn't matter bc they supposedly require less nutes and water bc they are high pressure, low flow (possible benefit). low pressure aero systems offer more nutrients to the plants via the high flow of water and nutes through the nozzles which is also why they can run at higher ppms. basically, the nozzles don't provide any back pressure on a low pressure, high flow system. this is based off of what i've heard and read...i'm only beginning to tinker w this stuff. i've done awesome w my aeroflow plenty of times (yes i bought one a few yrs back) which is a low pressure high flow aero/nft system so if that's what you're going for you can crank up the ppms (i did about 1200), just clean THOROUGHLY btwn runs. that pump is around 750-900 ghp i think...

going to be ballin' soon.
hellya keep us posted!

Thank you, I just need to aquire funds the tough way to finish building the grow room.
I found some rather cheap-midrange price pumps around that realm that should do the job. I wish I didn't blow my savings away, I could really use it right now. lol hopefully I won't have to worry about that anymore. I cannot wait.

aw c'mon lets try strictly high pressure aero and see what happens =) the trick is finding a system that doesnt use pipe, fence posts, or tupperware.... i have seen some spray nozzles that dont have clogging issues on high pressure low-flow systems.... i definitely would like to see more topics regarding strictly aero systems...

I agree, I guess we'll have to wait for the more "elite" to shine their powers down onto us then more people will get into it and it won't be as uncommon I suppose lol in the meantime I'll take the lazy mans lazy way out of it. giggity goo.

check out this thread if you have not already;

https://www.rollitup.org/aerogardeners/437684-true-hp-aero-2011-a.html

the first few pages illustrate a few parts recipes using proven supplies, aswell as an accurate description of true HPA. the last 10 pages or so show what kind of results you can get out of a bucket setup! post #433 shows a few photos you need to see, regarding the difference between healthy and not so healthy HPA root zones.... @ 35 days this guys buds look like they are from plants atleast 10 days older.....

it wont be too much longer..... more people will see the benefits from this method....

I caught a glimpse of that threat the other day and I thought it was funny that it was just brought up here but i didn't get to fully get the read through then forgot about it, sweet now that you have reminded me i'm going to be reading through it today
