looking into Ona Gel OR Ona Block odor eliminators for inside

im looking into the ONA products for an odor eliminator for my duplex, as we got neighbors and im gonna be growing 5 autoflowers Auto Seeds Polar Express for the genetics says very discreet grow and low odours, so i have 6in carbon filter reg at 400 cfms and a mtn inline fan through a cooltube inside a 10x10 room walkin closet with a door no outside ventilation really besides opening the door into bedroom with the window open but dont wanna stink up my whole house past that, i been doing alot of research and besides the carbon filter with charcoal im interested in ONA products in a couple of rooms to just bang out the smell during 6 week flower, i mean i smoke in my house as well so it always smells like burnt bud... can anyone point me in the right direction here do i go with gel, powder , block and any perspectives you can say will help as long as you done it and used it... thanks again

I find Ona scent terribly offensive, like too much perfume on a women. Try Gonzo Odor Eliminator. $7 a bag and it's renewable by putting it out in the sun. I have a small closet grow and you'd never know

lowes sells odor absorbing gel tubs for 5.00. I have about 8 around my entire house. but im also running a monster carbon scrubber and a small heap/carbon filter air purifier in my grow area as well.

I think these things are pretty overrated, be better off getting a candle warmer or air purifier than the gel. Only thing of theirs that caught my eye was you can attach a fan lid to a bucket of the stuff, aint cheap tho so you are better off just getting a carbon filter imo

as stated i have carbon filter with charcoal already, im looking for odor elimators ontop of this, any kind that works real preferences, i called a few hydro stores and they sell an odor plug ig obsorber for 169 bucks but thats insane i just needf to cover up the flowering on my auto when it switches for a few weeks, i might only run 2 plants and keep the smell lower then 4/5/6 as wanted, its just better that way but i smoke in my crib which danks anyways but back to looking for anyone elses comments and post that have used things to cvover up flowering

I have, and have used the Ona Pro gel. It's very strong but it is expensive. It's supposed to eliminate odors but I think it just tries to overpower them. Personally, I'd look into some of the other suggestions in this thread to supplement your scrubber.

Im telling you man, i just had a apartment inspection to test my smoke detectors. Had to take my tents down so as not to be obvious but the smell of my plants is hard to cover without my filter. Jammed the girls in the walk in closet in my room. I have 2 blue og's that wreak like some blue kool-aid so i bought some glade lavender-vanilla wax blocks for my candle warmer and you couldn't smell a fucking thing! Take it for what it is worth, but as someone said ona doesnt eliminate like it says it just overpowers

what you want to do is make an Ona bucket, I only use a little bit of ona in the bucket(jell) and I love the smell.

i bought an ona jar once...returned it unopened because the odor was offensive to me. i couldn't imagine how super strong the smell would be once i opened it--it seemed to be so super strong of an odor i thought folks would wonder why anyone would want something stinky strong around. your filter should do the trick. i'd buy candles before ona. just my opinion...

ona works WAY better then anything in the big box stores commander strax has the right idea.

The smell is VERY strong with some strains. My plants in veg need odor control or my house will have a definite 'smell' not like in flower but strong.

i really like the times Ozium or Ona timed mist. i use a carbon scrubber, a bucket of gel in my basement, and misters strategically places by any entrance to my house.

Here is a GREAT trick if you need immediate odor control-PINE SOL in a bucket. It works great short term if u have no other options.

I just discovered a new amazing way to make gel fragrance....

Gelatin. 1 oz (1 package which is 4 packets)
Essential Oil or Warming Oil (5 bucks at walmart)

Just another thought for your inspections is to mask the smell with other smells like Chocolate chip cookies baking while some coffee is brewing etc.

Not long term, but it may help during the visit.

good idea. but coffee seems to highlight the smell of ganja ! or is it just me....?

Yea, I just thought with the cookies, there'd be a confusion of smells, and possibly a dismissal if presented with one at the door upon entering... especially if they ate one.

I like the gel from Home Depot. I'm not sure about it absorbing smells though like ONA does... I got the citrus. Smells great. With that and my carbon filter you can't smell a thing. Just freshness.

That is until the power goes out on your block for 8 hours on a hot day (Last Week)

im gonna buy a block of ona gell in a couple weeks after the veg gets goings and as soon as flower starts hope itll work i will look back into this thread and tell everyone how it goes, i as well have carbon filter with charcoal so i hope it all does the job might get 2 ONAs one for grow room and one for living room just to be a full block deterent anyone else who uses or tried it def like to hear from ya also
