Does it get choppy in the inlets. If there is enough salt spray,it will kill the plant.

how high are the dunes? Is the inlet sheltered from big waves?If you can,go as far from the dunes as you can.

hahaha ya bastard. spent awhile looking for those seeds. pretty good one. ohh well i'll be calling mine seaweed.
the spot im thinking of is not directly on the ocean but protected from the waves in like a cove. pretty calm water, not worried about splash too much. my only concern with that is with the possibility of a bad storm.
the best i can manage is to make it out there for watering once a week. but that might not be such a terrible thing. article about salt in gardens recommends infrequent heavy watering for high salt environments.
I'd say you should be alright.
