lost at least half my harvest due to mold

Currently for flowering I have a 4x4 tent with 1000 watt hps. Entire grow room is climate controlled. 84*F during the day. Gets down to low 70's at night. RH stays between 40-55%. CO2 is kept around 1400 ppm. I had 7 plants in there. 2 white widows have mold inside the big colas. 1 super sour og has mold inside the large cola too. I have 2 pure power plants that still look ok. I already harvested 1 ak-48 and 1 ppp.

Everything looked good. The super sour og was looking crazy. I am heart broken. My next harvest after this isn't gonna be until around the new year.

thats hard failing but maybe if a bud has just a touch of mold u could water cure it and maybe it will be less visible. its like a dirty skank, sell that shit on the streets!

Do you keep the fans and exhaust on at night? If you don't, you should. I would put a larger, stronger internal room fan in and leave it on until harvest. Air circulation and reduced humidity is key- and not too cool at night.

By the way, I've used moldy material to make cold water hash. I did throw out the worst of it, but got a bunch of hash and smoked it all. I'm not proud of it, and I don't think I 'd do it again. Personally, I doubt it's healthy and why chance it?

No exhaust fan, totally sealed room. I keep the entire room climate controlled. I have an exhaust fan sucking air out of the top of the tent 24/7 to keep it the same temp/humidity/co2 as the entire room. I have 2 fans inside the tent. I have a humidifier set at 40%. When the temp drops I get a spike in humidity before the dehumidifier can remove it, but it doesn't spike over 55%. I was under the impression 55 was acceptable, especially since that is the max. I have never had a problem with it before.

I have not made hash in about 6 months, but I have been saving all my trimmings. I would prefer to just throw it away and use non moldy stuff for my hash.

I will have enough to smoke until my next harvest. I certainly will not be able to sell as much now though.

And I am not going to sell moldy bud to anyone. I won't sell anything I won't smoke.

What mistake? I have air circulation. The environment is the way it is because that's what I set it at.

Maybe because it's fat like a donkey dick? I don't know. I have had buds this big before with no mold problems. I never grew these strains though. The only other WW I grew had mold on it. It was only half salvageable.

nirvana. The ak-48 and ppp are nirvana also. I have had great success with those 2. I think ppp has earned itself a permanent spot in my room as my work horse plant. It's not the most potent, but god damn is that plant reliable and hardy.

I have grown:

Nirvana - AK-48, PPP, WW
Reserva Privada - Kandy Kush, Cole Train
Barneys farm - LSD

I also had a master kush from nirvana that never popped.

Other than 1 seed not popping, and all 3 of my WW going moldy I would say nirvana is vastly superior to bagseed or the other breeders i've tried so far. I am still extremely satisfied with nirvanas genetics. I would still highly recommend them.

I grew a Nirvana WW fem last season. She grew well, but the bud from her tastes and smells nasty. Potent, nice high, but tastes like urinal cake.

I am trying to line up my seed choices for this coming season's grow. I started a thread about it in Seed&Strain Reviews, but haven't got one reply yet. cn
