Lost power and clones started to flower...

My clones were under 24 hour light. I lost power for about 13 hours right when they were starting to root. They show signs of starting to flower, if I continue to veg them for another few weeks and then put them under 12/12 what will happen? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I may just retake clones and start the process over....unsure as what to do.

I have had this happen, might not be because of power outtage, I would look more along lines of something with the nutes, I had hairs on about 3 of my last batch, I just let it go. It took an extra week for roots but is one of my outdoor polants now.

Clones actually start to 'sex' when they are taken. This is completely normal. Nothing to freak out about. While the 13 hours of lost power is unfortunate, it is doubtful that a half day will greatly effect them as long as you keep everything in check from here on out.

I can't get too scientific as to why, but when you take clones they will sex for about 2 weeks or as long as it takes for them to root, be transplanted, and get back into a solid vegetative state, and then continue going about their veg growth characteristics. Flower growth will not continue as long as you're in 18/6 or 24/0.

*Many cloning solutions are simply weak flower formulas, as the high Phosphorus & Potassium content assists in root development (the clone can't really use Nitrogen unless it's foliarly fed until it has roots to uptake that nutrient). It could be this flower formula that helps stimulate these small pistols/hairs)*

Good luck with the clones!

I soak the roakwool cloning slabs in fresh water mixed with clonex. 350-400 PPM 5.5 PH. Then mist clones with fresh water every 12 hours until they root, and just refill trays with fresh water when they get low. I then transfer them into DM-10 rockwool cubes after 2 weeks in the clone trays, for another 10 days of veg in the DM-10's, then transfer to 12-12.

I have never had a problem before. This time around the "crotches" on the pistols are open, showing signs of flower, they also do not look nearly as healthy as they usually are at this stage. During the power outage my mom plants did not flower at all....

Trust me, if you have vegging plants going, it takes more like a week to see any noticable nodal flower development. Which is why your mothers didn't do anything. This is a natural process for the clones to go thru. And they're bound to not look so healthy due to the lack of nutes right now, but as they feed on their nute stores and use the foliar feeding for energy to produce roots, they'll pick back up again in no time!

You're not seeing anything out of the ordinary with your clones here. Just try avoid the interruptions in light in the future (although a power outage is out of your control)

Thanks.

Another thing I found weird was I transferred a few out of the dome last night into rock wool cubes and they shriveled up and died with in 2 hours???? under the same lighting as I had my dome's....
