Loud pop from ballast?

Fired up a 400hps since a while ago and after about 20-30 min I heard a loud pop and electrical smell. Scared the shit out of me I immediately unplugged everything. While it happened everything was still running, light didnt go out, anything. Discuss

Check the wiring? Plug it in and try it again.

Sounds like a capacitor blew, strange that the light didn't go out though...

hahahahahahahaha a balast exploded on my freeken chest i still got the smoke pic on my chest hahahahahaha it was great ball of fire panel just kept zapn i was woundering y my ppm meter was not reading how fucken strain dude i been in construction all my life all fases n nevor fucken seen anything like it ever i seen a fool cut his hand all the way up to his watch but nevor seen a balast explode peep the pic. or the avi
