Low budget, soil, closet grow...Critical Jack

Obviously first time grow. I went to a local hydro store got some soil and other things to get started but still missing a few things like pH tester and nutes. But anyways to start out with the basics to get it going. It's been about a month and its about 7 inches tall but just starting to sprout the 3 leave sets. I have a typical desk lamp (60W) and it seems to be doing alright, i didnt have the $$ to get a legitimate light but i will soon. Most likely a florescent. But just thought i should post it to see what others have to say, any help is appreciated.

You are not serious about this if you're using incandescent lighting. You can't spend $3 on a 26 watt CFL? Really?

Haha its just temporary, i didnt know what lights to get so i wanted to wait. I didnt think it'd be that big of a deal for a month or so... but im gettin a new light within the week as well as pH and temperature monitors and some other needed supplies.

dam.... a month veg and thats it... just go to a home depot. u can spend $10 on decent lighting. like $5 for (4) 26w cfl 6400k. $1.25 for cheap cord. a y connecter and a plug that goes straight from the y to the extension cord. its something to work with on a tight budget.

incandescent...you should just chop, that stem is efffed.

Well i was just really excited to get shit going because i got some stuff but i have some amazing seeds that i will get going within a week like tangerine dream and cheesewreck, so when i get the proper lighting imma start those.
