Idk what to do, idk If I should empty my 100gal bags and move em since they’re smaller or find a different spot for my 400 gal bags, I thought about emptying the 100 gals and putting the 400 gals in their place and moving the 100 gal bags over into where my old spot used to be, doing so would make stuff a lot easier I think, I’m rambling but I’m high and flabbergasted about what to do I think that’s what I’m going to do empty the 100 gals put new amendments in the soil and fill up the 400gals and then put the 100 gals in my old area I’ll post pics when I get it all done wish me luck! Back breaking work ahead of me but it’ll be worth it when everything is set back up

I'm not envying you the mixing party you have coming up. I bet those 400 gallon pots look like swimming pools. Just keep thinking about the monsters you're going to grow in them. Hope it goes smoothly for you. The girls are looking great, growing so fast. Before you know it, you'll be climbing ladders.

So far I’ve got my 100 gal bags moved it sucked ass so much shoveling, but yeah it’s gonna suck even more when I go to do them 400 gals but it’s gonna be worth it!! I was totally surprised by how big the bags are, they so look like big swimming pools not as deep as the 100gals but they are wider, wider is better than deeper, but yeah I averaged 3lbs per plant from the 100 gals, so hopefully I should avenge double digits with the 400 gals, I really don’t know what the average yield is with the 400gal pots

Bud it must be costing you a small fortune to fill them like that lol. I run 100g and fortunately I have a great soil I’ve amended for yrs for crops. The majority of my media is/was native soil. I couldn’t afford to make “ super soil” from scratch. Gonna be nice man good luck

It does cost a lump sum but it’s worth it, I’ve been sellin a qp here and there to buy the soils but after I get everything and the bags filled I won’t need to buy anymore soil for a good while unless I get more or bigger bags in the future, I plan on using native soil as well to help as a filler cause I need to dig out my old holes I got and make them bigger and sadly I’m unable to get soil by the truck load here which sucks ass

fox farm WAS good a while back but changed & a lot of others don't like it & changed to Nectar, etc. they say that Miracle grow doesn't work? A LONG TIME AGO, that's all we had to work with kiddies, we didn't have all the fancy equipment, etc., the soil is good where ever you get it, I know a guy that grows his own with ordinary dirt he gets outside puts it in the oven to make it sterile, his buds are better than the dispensary

Why sterilize soil?

others have done it long before you were even born, why don't you read your history & quit making fun of those who are older than you? if I were you I'll listen to them b/c they know how to grow 50 times better & smarter way than any of you, I learned basically from a book, we didn't have the internet for it to read it to you, so why don't you read books instead of trolling the forums?

It’s my understanding that people would do it to kill bug eggs and such before using it indoors. I see it as a long ridiculous process but hey that’s me. Nobody is baking bag soil that I’m aware off and obviously it’s counter productive to a living soil

Yep! Back in the day, I too baked my dirt in the oven to kill the pests that came with store bought "Organic" soils. Long before the laws changed and weed became legal. Then I would "re-cook the soil" to bring back and recolonize the microbiology. It was a bit time consuming, but that is what you did sometimes.

I used to put mine in the deep freezer at my wife's work for 48 hours to kill any pests but I stopped doing it because the only pests I was getting were fungus gnats and they were easy enough to get rid of and I learned about microbiology and living soils. I've read about cooking soil as well but it smells like shit while you're doing it so I went with freezing. Now I just buy decent soil and and use Gnatrol if it has any fungus gnat larvae.
