Its in Oklahoma, but this is a low impact year for me so far. Last year when it was a bad year, my friends growing in town and in the middle of a 20 acre treeless field did not get it. Crossing my fingers that this dry summer continues! How many of you all have septoria? And where you at, I kno another person that’s local thats got it and it has absolutely wrecked his garden
Nice!!Pineapple chunk and a handful of other are handling it pretty well actually, there’s maybe 3 that’s struggling but they’re fighting but everything else is handling it pretty well
i’m in the North East where it’s very commonHow many of you all have septoria? And where you at, I kno another person that’s local thats got it and it has absolutely wrecked his garden
What do they use up there to treat it?i’m in the North East where it’s very common
Last year was the first and worst I’ve ever had it, I got it a little bit this season but I’ve been tryin to stay up on it but even with it this season I think this is gonna be a very impressive harvest for meIts in Oklahoma, but this is a low impact year for me so far. I heard you can use liquid copper spray during veg as a preventative …i don’t think it’s safe during flower tho…I also heard you can use neem but i’m not 100% ..i’m hoping the environment keeps it in check..I defoliated the bottoms and tried to increase airflow..got a fan blowing on them now tooWhat do they use up there to treat it?
I use both, so far it’s the only thing that’s been keeping everything in checkI heard you can use liquid copper spray during veg as a preventative …i don’t think it’s safe during flower tho…I also heard you can use neem but i’m not 100% ..i’m hoping the environment keeps it in check..I defoliated the bottoms and tried to increase airflow..got a fan blowing on them now too
Copper has always worked for me but after reading that its a heavy metal an builds up in soil I have changed over to sulfur this yr zero black spot an zero pm. The trick is to recognize it early an start treatments.I use both, so far it’s the only thing that’s been keeping everything in check
I did some early sulfur only treatments as well. I have heard that Regalia can also work as a preventative. https://www.arbico-organics.com/product/Regalia-biofungicide-Reynoutria-sachalinensis/natural-organic-plant-disease-controlCopper has always worked for me but after reading that its a heavy metal an builds up in soil I have changed over to sulfur this yr zero black spot an zero pm. Iam loving the sulfur you recommended last season I also have the best blight free tomato's I have ever grown using sulfur.I did some early sulfur only treatments as well. Its powder make sure its Micronized so it passes thur a sprayer. Is sulfur a powder or is there a liquid? I also heard zinc but idk I haven’t tried it. But I’ll get a sulfur one to try
The thing about those sunlight kills them on the spot you have to spray every day to keep up that gets old an very pricey. Sulfur in veg zerotol in flower will keep black spot, pm, an bud rot at bay.what about bio fungicides for prevention ? doing some research and apparently some types of bacillus occupy the leaf surfaces and outcompete disease and are good at preventing leaf spot ..pretty much like a B.T. spray but a different strain of bacteria ..i think lactobacillus/subtilis and amyloliquefaciens
that makes sense, looking into zerotol now!The thing about those sunlight kills them on the spot you have to spray every day to keep up that gets old an very pricey. Sulfur in veg zerotol in flower will keep black spot, pm, an bud rot at bay.
