Grow more Mendocino has a flowering cal-mag with zero N. I am unable to find a place that will ship it to me in Hawaii though.
Thanks bud that calcium edta powder looks good.
Trying to find a copy of the label to work out how many g of calcium per g of powder but can’t find it. You have it?

since i switched to well water, i've only had one strain in the last few yrs that needed more Ca. and since switching back to floranova bloom, i don't have to add anything.
i generally add 1 gram per gal of Epsom at end of bloom more for the Sulfur
My calcium deficiency and magnesium are both all over the place since using high powered leds. It’s a nightmare. My tap water is 90 ppm on .5 ec scale so I’m guessing there is fuck all in that

have you ever gotten an analysis of what's in your tap?
Is ghe flora bloom the same? And do you need the micro too?

no, that's the original 3 part. flora, micro, bloom.
this is somewhat newer: GH floranova bloom and floranova grow. the FNB is 4-8-7 and a really thick dark crap. it has humic acids in it. really good stuff. i used it years ago and kinda forgot about it. kinda looks like it has a spaceship on the label here in the US
Can only find that flora nova bloom here for the equivalent of 110 usd a gallon lol... and my res is 750l.
Gonna flip to bloom in a week and I’ll top up with this ghe cal mag and see how it does.
Any recommendations as to how much I should put in my gallon to top my tap water up?

so you said you have Ca AND Mg issues now? if so, i'd go close to max dosage. when you flip to 12/12 they are gonna grow like crazy and they'll probably need it.
if they are in rough shape now, i'd get that sorted out first and let them recover and then go to bloom. don't go into bloom with unhealthy plants

It’s a strange one though. I seem to get burnt leaf tips showing nute burn - my ppm goes up daily suggesting too high nutes. Even with 1g/l of megacrop but I have these deficiencies too.
I’ve been using calcium sulphate and magnesium sulphate lately but Im thinking they may be reacting with other elements or something and dropping out of solution so my last chance of solving this is using the ghe calmag everyone else seems to use and just swallow the cost of it

i hated Chemistry but this is what i found on CaSO4:
One particular hydrate is better known as plaster of Paris, and another occurs naturally as the mineral gypsum. It has many uses in industry. All forms are white solids that are poorly soluble in water.[6] Calcium sulfate causes permanent hardness in water.

It does seem to dissolve fine when I add it in. I’m hoping this calmag works but going forward if I can get away without the extra iron from calmag I’d much prefer to use calcium edta powder and mag sulphate after I run out of this calmag.

I also use a blend of calcium and magnesium sulfates.
If you select “solution”-grade ag gypsum, it dissolves impressively fast.
Gypsum is calcium sulfate dihydrate, while plaster of Paris is the hemihydrate. Plaster of Paris hydrates slowly, which makes it the perfect plastering agent.
I have a 650l res
I’ve added 250g of calcium sulfate and 200g of magnesium sulfate and 700g of mega crop this week.
it takes me to around 1000ppm on the .5 ec scale.
I’m getting tip burn but also some deficiencies

I seem to have been fighting this issue for what seems like over a year now. My buds harvest with decent quality and decent yield but this is definitely holding me back.

It sounds to me like you are doing things right or close to it.
Your ppm have a slow rise, you may be running one click too rich.
The one change I would suggest is more Ca less Mg. 250 g gypsum and 150 g Epsom.
