Check out Reggae Seeds, and their strains like Dancehall and Juanita LaGrimosa.
They're low in THC and high in CBD, great for taking care of any aches and pains, without fucking you up.
Other suggestions, Pennywise by TGA, Cannatonic by Resin Seeds, and Sweet n Sour Widow by CBD Crew.

I agree, anything with mostly just looks has low potency. I'd even go with like a 80/20 indica /sativa because indicas usually test lower.

I've read some mixed reviews on PE. Chances are low THC plants can be found in a lot of lines though if you look. What kind of effect do you want?

if you are looking for low potency go for purple, most of "purple" strains i've smoked have hit like wet noodles.
Im so glad to hear someone else say this. I try telling these kids nowadays that just because its purple doesn't mean it's top shelf. For some reason most of the younger gen. has it stuck in their heads that "purps" are the best and most potent bud you can get.

This is puzzling.

I totally "get" wanting something that isn't brain-dead potent, but any stronger strain can be 10% THC if you just harvest it early.

You can also take smaller hits or simply don't hold them as long.

i knew someone who wanted to grow a particular variety that was weak but had very good bag appeal and yielded well. in his mind, he'd use that as his selling stash and keep all the dank shit to himself, so i guess the heart wants what it wants lol.

I sort of "get" that as an irrational response to soothe the 'pain' of getting rid of the buds you grew and sort of want to keep, even though it fundamentally doesn't make any sense.

But really, wouldn't it be better to grow everything high yielding, with high potency and bag appeal?

So for clarification you looking for high CBD strains?
Yes. This is a good question.

Maybe you should explain exactly WHY you want a low THC strain, and then you can get better advice.

With CBD in general, what's most important from an effect standpoint is the ratio of CBD to THC; you can always adjust the absolute dosing by smoking less or more, if you need to.

If you are after CBD, then Bad Karma has a good list of high CBD strains (though just to be clear its "Juanita La Lagrimosa", which translates roughly from Spanish into "Weeping Jane").

Off the top of my head, other CBD lines worth considering include Sour Tsunami, Harlequin, 303 Se-eds Meltdown and Ambulance. All the CBD Crew strains are supposedly bred to have 1:1 CBD:THC ratios and they're all probably worth a look. If you're in CO, R4 is a high CBD one you can potentially source around Denver, and there are other local ones.
