First grow, I'm hangin in there. I just started week 2 of flowering and I have just been noticing recently that ALOT of lower leaves are looking really really bad and dying off faster than what should be normal.
Leaves are yellowing, brown spots, drying and curling, way too many.
- I'm in soilless HPpromix
- PH is 6.0
- fed first dose of flowering formula this morning
- treated with bug-b-gone (scotts) a week ago it's a spray
- temps are fine and besides it's lower leaves that are messed up not tops
I can post more pics of this syndrome if requested, it's on every plant :(

Looks like moisture stress for one, the bottom leaves are limp looks like underwater but maybe over. Flush em out good and let them re-coop looks like burn to me. Flush reguardless. And if nothing else throw 1/4 strength maybe 1/2 strength veg nutes in as well. 9 days in you should still be using a more balanced ratio IMO. I wait til week 4-5 before I fully eliminate veg nutrients. What specifically are you using for flower nutes and how much did you use on ur first feed? It looks TO MONTH like you have the beginning of nute burn since ur ph is in check. Flush em out let em dry then water with 1/4-1/2 the amount of nutes you did last time (I'd recommend staying on some veg nutes or a nicely balanced nutes til week 3 at least. Just to keep em happy. How often are you watering? I can't get over how limp those lower fans are. Do you run a vertical bulb, have something eating your leaves, or do you have a mutant or reveg plant? The reason I ask is cause on of those leaves looks either munched or deformed/distorted in addition to the yellowing.
Otherwise they should bounce right back, they know who daddy is, they know who's treated them so kind otherwise, they will re-pay you just listen to them and the kind folk here and they'll be stankin out the house in no time.

Ps sorry if that whole post sounded weird, on a side note MENDO PURPS IS BOMB! :leaf: :joint:

pluck those fucked up leaves off or your plant will keep stressing and trying to repair them. taking away energy from flowering. also you can see if its getting worse or better

I heard taking off these fans is not good unless 50 % damaged or more, but I would love to get them off... I just think the problem will climb up and up the plant.

it looks like you have been watering them to much. let them suck up before you water them agian like let them suck up tell the pot feels lite
If anything I think it would be underwatering... I have let them get super light then left them for another day and they always get dry and droopy, just too busy sometimes but they always bounce back and look great. Can leaves appear like this from watering issues alone? I wouldn't think so. Maybe nutrient issue, I dunno.

Not at all man thanks for being quick to throw a bro a hand. Yeah it could be a lil bit of munching but the brown shit throws me off. Should I clip the bad leaves? Think it is most likely a nutrient thing eh,I hope so. I will flush them with pure water next, lot's. Moisture stress? please explain how that is caused/ works? No I run horiz bulbs. I guess I'm just under the impression that the plant needs flower nutes from the get-go to produce and build sizable buds. I use GH 3 part with liquid karma, diamond nectar and growzyme. The feed chart, done by the week, says to start flower nutes immediately, but it is a gradual increase per week starting with a 2 ml increase in micro from veg section and it goes up 2 ml per week from there. It looks like the guys who made the feed schedule use alot of nitrogen and just bump the "bloom" up alot. The "grow" goes down alot in week one flowering also and then on. I have seen a little bit of twisting in higher leaves too, if that has any thing to do with it. Not sure but I'm just going to flush em and start over sighh :joint: thanks man :leaf:

Hey I got your PM but I can't send one back your full up mang. Copy paste = Man! I know...your totally right. I only water about 500 ml every time (3gal pots) I've never really flushed them properly. I've never even had runoff! It is nute buildup isnt it... I kinda thought in the back of my mind too, I'm just inexperienced. I've heard to flush with twice the water of the pot size, I can't do that it's crazy unreasonable due to 32 plants x 24 litres per plant??? lmao not a chance it's just too much water. I'll do as much as I possibly can, I'll fill the res and water until its gushing out the bottom. I appreciate you taking time to help me with this. All the good karma to you and love ~ BCbuddy ( i will let you know soon how things are lookin) :leaf:

trimmed the leaves that had alot of damage/deadening on them and flushed with a gallon of water per 3 gal pots, il do this twice will it be enough? a fair bit of water came rushing out of the bottom, maybe a beer mug full or so. Should I do this once a week or what?

Naw I woodnt do it once a week that's too much work bro. As long as ur not overfeeding u shood never have to flush that often. Also u shood step out and buy a moisture meter its only six bucks and they help a lot. Just jam the needle in to the bottom of pot and water until the meter indicates it is at the moisture level u want. I go all the way moist every feeding / watering. I also feed then ater feed then water, u kno; and ifrom my results if u do this u shoodnt have to ever flush.
So so sloppy its late and I'm high as usual,
Thumbz:bigjoint:

as in dump it into the pot with a 2 litre jug, yep. You suggestin a device with holes that pour small streams? I just been readin uncle bens tricks and tips thread, he swears that total plant leaf health is vital to large yield, he got me trippin...hehe. It's some interesting shit, goes against 80 percent of water/nutrient/lighting/pruning/ tips others give here Yeah I'll still bump a crop I'm sure man. Hows your la woman and crop doin, nvrmnd il check it out :) :bigjoint:

I appreciate all you guys that took yout time to help figure this issue out :) I'm new but learning real fast! I flushed the piss outta them trimmed the crap off and they already look 5 times better in general, I think I was underwatering, by alot. I read Uncle Bens material and I will now keep the flow going, he says to keep it a lil moist, no dryness (roots suffer in dry pockets) so i will water more but less (less is more ;) ) thx again guys :bigjoint: I will update in a few days on progress and health

^Good idea, with the idea to water more often. Everybody worries about overwatering their plants, but they don't realize that it's not so easy to do, once they get big. Mature plants under alot of light, burn up alot of water/food each day. In order to overwater them at that point, you practically have to flood them every day.lol Hell, on my first grow, I did flood them every day, and they still did really well.LOL Seriously though, they process alot of water, so it's tough to give them root rot or cause any real problems, once they get up over 2' tall. It hurts them alot more to run dry for a few hours under intense light, ending up with lots of yellow leaves, and a sad looking plant. :)

I agree 100 % makes sense with soilless too because of such fast efficient drainage. I drench them good now and they stand up like mafkn soldiers!! +rep
