I'm wrapping up my first real indoor grow (http://rollitup.org/t/2nd-grow-mega-jackpot-under-ds-xml-650-using-dwc.874194/) and I'm already planning some updates to the tent I want to make before I start my 2nd grow. One of these updates is lowering my humidity for the last couple weeks of flower.
With my current setup I was able to get the RH inside my tent (4x4x7) to go down to 36-38% but I could never get the RH lower than that. My dehumidifier only goes down to 35% though so that's about right. However I've heard of lowering the RH as low as 20% for the final weeks to really push THC production up and I want to try that.
Has anyone else gotten their humidity down that low? If so, did you see noticeable improvements and how did you get the RH so low? I have 4 buckets of DampRid in the tent now and I'm considering buying a small perlite dehumidifier that i can place inside the tent, but I've heard they don't do much.
