Lowrider

Hi guys,

This is my plan, i wanna start a grow in my closet with 20 lowriders.
I. What kind of lowrider do you recomend?
II. I want to plant them in Coke botlles, just cut the top of them, so they would have about 0.75 gallons ( 2 litres ). Is that any good?
III. I don`t have very good ventilation, is that a major problem, i can leave the fan open for 12h.
IV. What kind of light would i need? How many watts? Would 400W of HPS 18h/24 do the trick? I would preffer if i could use 3 large neon light, they`re about 120 W 24/24.

i wouldnt use the 2liters i tried using those on one lowrider and it didnt work at all, it only grew about 6inches(half the size) but my others in 1gal pots grew perfect.

Any type of lowrder would work fine. A twenty plant setup is quite large though, maybe too big. What size is your closet?

The lowryder strain is an auto-flowering one. This means that is you do decide to go with it, you put the light schedule on 12/12 from the start.

I am no professional, but from what i have read, a 400w HPS can handle a grow space about 4'x4' to 6'x6'.

Also, ventilation is key. Getting that access heat out of your closet will help. HPS lighting shows much better results when the light is as close to the plants as possible without over heating them. So, the better cooled your light is, the better bud you will be in the long run.

just buy pots man, coke bottles let light through and will fuck your roots. plant pots are one of the most cheapest parts of your grow, get square ones to the all fit together nicely

yes, this is a major problem, heat is going to get too much and the humidity will be out of control, condensation will be running down the walls. you need to have some sort of air exchange.

i have no idea what neon lights are like but im guessing no good as ive never heard of anyone using them. how big is your grow space? from that figure you will be able to work out the size and type of your lights. look for at least 40 watts per square foot. and the height will govern what type of light you can use and if you will need a cool tube or not

The only Lowryder's that are available right now are Lowryder and Lowryder 2, so that solves that. I'm not sure about the coke bottles. If ventilation is a problem then you don't want to use the HPS. Do you mean fluorescent lights? They can work if you use high output lights like T5's, cfl's wouldn't work for you because you'd need way too many. You could either go with a smaller grow, or get alot of lights. I don't know about watts per square foot, but I do know about lumens per sqft. You want at least 3000 lumens per sqft, so if your space is 5X3 (15sqft) let's say, you would want 45,000 lumens for your space. As far as the light schedule. The guy above is incorrect with putting them to 12/12. Yes Lowryder is autoflowering and yes you put regular plants that are flowering to 12/12, but Lowryder is different. If you look at the Joint Doctor's grow guide (he's the creator of Lowryder), you'll see that he says 18/6 works best and the lowest you want to go without lessening your yield is 16/8 but only after the first month. bump on that chunkymonk.... i have been researching lowryder for 3 days... you know any reliable seedbanls to get lowryder

I've heard that they stopped sending to the US (which I don't believe), but Dr Chronic does, or did. I ordered mine at the beginning of this month and got them 7days later. Quick, very discreet, what else could you want. I researched for awhile too and found, or read from others that if you see an American flag that they'll send. That's if you're even in the US.

i send to the us, done it plenty of times with no problems. ive only got lowryder #2 though. i heard the original is a poor yeilder.

24 hours will give you the best yeild no doubt
you can use cfls, i do and i get good results. i get .75grams per watt and thats seed to harvest in 70days
