Day 64 - She's huge!

I've seen a few pictures of Low Ryders around here, but all of them are indoors. That was one of the main reasons I started this thread. How does a LR2 looks when grown under the sun? Well here's our baby at day 64 today, measuring 60cm (2ft) tall.

She's looking good, with her little flowers and all...

In the first and last picture you can see my 1st attempt of LR2, now big as a tree and starting to flower like a maniac at month 6. Lets hope our baby here gets as tight as her predecessor but in less time.

PLEASE, any one else would be so kind to post their Low Ryder 2 Pictures?

Thank you!

Day 76 (11th week)

Ok, so Now I'm just SURE that those estimates on the seed's package box reading: "harvest time: 9 weeks" is just plain bull shit. If you have your indoors lights and all, you can probably pull out this girls in 9 weeks (63 days), but come on! You don't need "Auto flower" for that, do you?

Here's Baby Low Ryder 2, on her day 76, flowering fine. Her older sister is around 7 months old and is well far into flowering, as most of the other (non-auto) girls are in this time of the summer. Perhaps a little ahead.

The real challenge for this Low Ryder 2 seeds, will be after I harvest all my garden. Then, I shall try to grow a new low ryder 2, DURING WINTER OUTDOORS!!! That would be the only advantage I could see on LR2 if it works. Cause other than that, I haven't seen any abnormal behavior. Yes, they're shorter than the rest of the plants, but the "auto flower" function of the strain, has not surprised me yet...

Here's the latest picture of the girl. Around 70cm tall!!

Happy Tokes!

ps: Is anybody willing to share their LR2 Pics?!!?

i have grown and harvested lowryder2 x ak 47 at day 70...around 40 cm... 12 grams from plant... Grown outdoors, around 12-13 hrs light a day...

is there a such difference between lw2 and lw2 x ak47 ?

She's looking pretty, didn't know low ryders got over 2 feet tall... how's the smell? What do you expect from the winter grow? i mean, are you expecting purple leaves? does the cold weather do anything other than change it colors? does it add to taste or anything? Not sure if those are already answered questions but was just curious about the different weather effects on the plant. How long till you chop?

Im pretty sure I've got the right seeds, I have no idea why my LR2 turn out so big and long-lasting.

Say, do you have any pics of your girls? I would love to see other LR2 grown outdoors!

Thanks man. The smell is nice. Not as strong as other plants, but still delicious. I have no idea as to what expect from a winter grow. I've never tried it before, and have no knowledge about it. we'll see...

subscribed.....! but IMO I have never deen LR2's take this long!!?? usually by day 70 or 77 its harvest time with some fat , dense buds formed....(of course this is inside under 18/6) but damm! seens like it doesn't make sense to grow em' outside if this is the outcome???

Never grown an autoflower out-doors. I've had nice fat, dense tasty buds with indoor lowryder & lowryder x ak47 (far better smoke/yield) grown with a 400W hps on 20/4
check out my journal here and the full photos here
yours are taking too long to be an autoflower, maybe you stressed them. Growing them in winter will only deminish your yield due to the lack of light.
good luck

Looking good, Toocoolo. I'm growing an Easyryder (Lowryder 2 x AK 47) outdoors on my balcony. So far, it appears to be doing fine. Pistils appeared at day 19. Now it's on day 32. It's in FoxFarms soil, and I haven't added any additional nutes yet. Here's some pics for comparison. Cheers.

So basically autoflowers suck outdoors? Anyone have proof otherwise?

Yeah, so far I guess that's my conclusion: Autoflower outdoors is a myth. If anyone's got proof of otherwise, PLEASE, post some input and pics!

Good point. I'm just desperate; we just got this Autoflower seeds in order to maintain the flow of bud while the other crops where developing / been smoked. But this being my 2nd attempt with Lowryder 2, and being at day 99, I don't know what else to expect. I might give it a try on winter, but I'm not sure yet...

Alright man! Thanks for the pics. They're beautiful indeed. They look very much like my LR2. Pics attached. Check them out! Keep us posted, Pablo!

So: Day 99!!

Once again, a little disappointed that this auto flower is taking so long, she still looks beautiful. I've got other plants in the garden, non auto, and they're very much into late flowering stage. We even chopped one down already.

Still, this girl is the prettiest one in the garden, Not sure if it's just because its the youngest one. Just check out the pictures; she's coming alright!!

Very interesting thread. Thanks for the updates and pics.

99 Days seems very odd to me. I'm not all that experienced but mine is on day 22 and looks nothing like yours did at that stage.
At day 22 is only about 12cm tall, but is VERY very bushy and leafy for it's age and height compared to yours. Extreamly dence. It also already has a slight smell to it already, although I wouldn't say it's flowing quite yet.

It's an indoor grow though, and is under a 250 watt CFL 24 hours a day. I'll post a pic later tonight or tomorrow.

I think maybe Lowryder's and Lowryder 2 fair better as an indoor grow under full lights if you want them to bud quicker (like 60 days).
Having said that although yours outdoors has taken longer I suspect you'll get a beter harvest then those grown indoors in 60 days.

Outdoors = bigger plants... bigger yeild... but longer to grow
Indoors = smaller plants... smaller yeild... but very short grow time

. jus got back from the hydro shop. i already got the 4x4x7 from cali for like 129 a tent. i have two tents goin at two different spots. one tent at my spot an da otha at my ladies. i also have 2 brand new 600 watters from htgsupply cool tubes. i am growing 5 fem aks in each tent. i am also planting one dieasel ryder and one blueryder in each tent along with the fems. after talkin to u i may up it to 7 plants per tent. i want to get maximum light to those 7 plants as possible. man i had a field day at brew and grow here in chicago. there sight is altgarden.com. i picked up 4 bags all mix biobizz soil and two bags ocean forest. the nutes i got is biobizz bloom, biobizz topmax, and biobizz fish mix. never tried fish mix before but i here the plant loves it. the only thing im missing now is 2 six inch inline fans that im picking up this coming friday. damn fans are 215 a piece at the hydro shop but i need um for my cool tubes. im startin the seeds after germination in rapid rooter plugs. im really hopin for at least 1 1/2 ounces per plant period which should give me close to a pound harvest every two months. at400 to 500 an oz here and thats a deal, i can make an extra 40 grand a year under da table ya know. oh yeah, im usin 3 gallon grow bags as well. any input would be nice. im open to all help. grow journal w/pics cumin soon

its very weird you have gotten those results with lowryder seeds. I bought a mixed pack of lowlife seeds and so far have had good results. My last harvest was at day 67 from sprouting. I attached a few pictures of my ladies I have growing now, the one thats budding sprouted august 12th and my other one september 7th and it is a female.

mp377t my results were very good, in fact they were excellent. I got over 2.7 oz wet so in was well impressed. The only thing that i did different was veg for 5 weeks this meant that the plant just keep growing. Now it's hard to see with the pics that you have on above there but mine was twice the size. What i mean here is it didn't auto flower i had to go to 12/12 with my 400w hps and it finished flowering in 4-5 weeks.

So all in all i was very happy.

P.S yours are looking well good also

I was referring to the problems Toocoolo was having with his plants growing like normal plants. Your's def looks like an auto in the pictures you have, but its weird that you had to switch to 12/12 and vegged for as long as you did though. I never veg, my plants always go right from seedling to flowering. My females usually show their first pistil at around 21 days and males show at around 17 days.
