nah nah I ment that in a good wayu wanna keep them bout a foot maybe less with those CFL's... u want short and bushy not tall and lanky
Well I am hoping since I added that other bulb that they will both take off a little more. I'll be with them for the whole week until I have to leave them for a little bit

i think they put out around 7500 lumens a bulb but i guess it depends on what bulbs you have?...if thats the case they will still grow under them but weed require 32klumens for at least decent growth 15k lum might not crack it for flowering but i think will do fine durring veg...I bought a bunch of littler cfls with socket adapters and power strips and used them for my very first grows you pretty much screw the bulbs into the socket adapters and plug them into the power strip then u can tape/hang/glue/or even hold them around ur plants along with the 2 85 you have...i can help you with how many you would need extra for flowering if youd like just let me know bro

these bulbs are from walmart they are the highest I could find which are 1750 lumen output i had 11 which is 19,250 lumens plus a few other small one put me just over 20k lumens...if you bought 2 boxes of these bulbs you will have 12 bulbs which is 21k lumens added to your 16k you already have will be 37k LUMENS lol which is pretty much perfect for your OP bro lol the socket adapters run at 98 cents a piece SOOO you it will prolly cost you round $40-$45 for 2 boxes of Bulbs/12 Sockets/3 Powerstrips/ HOPE THIS HELPS YA BRO AND IT SHOULD REALLY SET OFF YOUR GROW AS WELL

This is totally fine with me. This is a very smart idea I wish i had thought of it before I started this grow in general. I'm not exactly sure but at the time it was just cheaper for me to buy bigger wattage bulbs then to buy all little bulbs with less wattage. I also thought about how I would put those all in my closet because I only had 1 of those lamps at the moment. For my next grow I will do what you have suggested and that will be in about 12 days from now or so. Also I'm strapped for cash at the moment so I wouldn't be able to afford the bulbs right now. The x2 85 watt bulbs I have put out a good amount of heat I have had to try and cool down my closet a little bit. They're both 85 watt (350 watt equivalent) from the pictures you can see the bulbs themselves are pretty diesel. ONE of the 85 watt bulbs is a 5000k (daylight) with 5800 lumens. The second 85 watt CFL I have is a 3000k (flowering) 4,500 lumens. I guess when I bought the bulbs I was just thinking big really. My ladies are looking a lot better though since I have put the 2nd light in the closer. I will have pictures up in about an hour or 2 because then my light will be back on.

Hey Miggy had a hacker so i have not been through in a while cant wait for the pix....i updated my thread also now that i got a new laptop, i am running a 400w Hps light 20/4 she is on day 36...check out the difference if u like...its y i subed up here a while ago so i could see the difference, CFL to M/H & HPS.......lol let see the pix.....!!!!!!

DAY 19: The ladies couldn't be any happier from the looks of them. I am a little worried about # 2 though =/ the newest set is developing but the right side is only developing 2 leaves instead of 3 like the left side is (shown in picture). I still have the lights set on 20/4 because I have read in a couple places where they sell the seeds that it's the recommended amount of light time. In a couple of weeks I am going to go with the suggestion above and purchase a power strip and plug a couple 26 watt CFL's into it. This will benefit not only this grow but the next one I am going to start about 30 days from now if not sooner. Well enough talk here's what they look like.

Its just a defect really hard to say what actually caused it...id say its in its genetics seeing as to my plants doing the same thing...but from what I learned as long as its not rampent all over the plant like shown in pic theres nothing to worry about..it will grow out of it...but I always still pay close attention and treat it likes its sick just to be safe...and watch to see if next set has there supposed specified number a leafs from the ones below them..."..if that makes any sense to you ..".. you could actually cut it off if you wanted it will just grow more to replace the tool lost pretty much " BEAUTIFUL LADIES I MIGHT ADD THERE FILLING IN NICELY STARTING TO SEE SECONDARY GROWTH FROM THE NODES THERE "NICE" ++rep to ya BOSS

Alright I'll keep that in mind about the defects I was just a little bit worried at first. I'll probably just leave it there because I don't really feel like cutting them or messing with them lol. Yea I'm really excited about the growth that I have gotten so far in under 24 hours of adding the second light. Thanks for the + rep. My partner and I have been talking...hes been talking about making a rotating platform for the plants to sit on in order to even out/give the ladies more of each light. Since the temps have gotten a little bit higher I am going to put a little fan in there to lower the temp and also give them a little bit of air flow. Closets going to go through some changes within the next week.

if you got the room ya you could actually be able to pull that off lol and yes good air flow is a must the best best thing is an oscillating fan on high from day 1 lol im going to be purchaseing a wall mount oscillating fan very soon here its going to be attached right on the other side of the door lmao TIGHT right lol and also a portable air conditioner so I can finaly keep the door locked and shut lol

Mounted a little computer fan in the closet for right now to move the air around. Tomorrow when it's not 1am in the morning ill get a little fan to put in there. Also getting that spray bottle tomorrow to raise humidity. See you guys tomorrow for day 20

Thats the downfall that I have at the moment. One of my buddies said he had a temperature reader with humidity on it already that he was going to give me. He hasn't came through with the temperature gauge though =/. I can feel it myself when I open up the closet though, its a little bit on the dry side. I'll be getting a spray bottle today though in order to up the humidity. The ladies are looking AMAZING today already. #1 has already gotten its other fan leaves so now it finally has 5 fingers. I'll be posting more pictures tonight after the lights go off and turn back on. Very noticeable changes though. Like I said prior though I will be fixing the humidity problem, the cup of water that is in front of the mini-heater just isn't doing the job. The mini computer fan is working for the air flow though, still need a bigger fan in order to cool down the closet just a little bit the temperature is still at 86 degree's.
