most autos are told to put under 20/4....and im sure your lowryder would grow great on that cycle...but i would think that you could put any auto under 18/6...just might suffer a bit since it has a really short veg time.dont know how much it would lose those two hours per night..but cant be much...do you have to keep them on 18/6?

well its just the lowryders r in and on that cycle, i would like to keep things constant always have somethin growin and dont want to start changin the cycle about, it was just for handiness sake more than anythin really, so do u think i could just change the cycle to the 20/4 when the ak is ready, i know the low#2 would def grow on that cycle but would it affect the yield much? there is bound to be other ones that require that cycle,

keep in mind the people that are giving out the info on these auto strains...the seed companies.these guys spends hundreds of thousands of dollars each year growing these new strains and testing them....what they dont tell you is every grow and grower is different.always use what works best for you...i wouldnt see a problem with putting them on 20/4....hell it might even like the 2 hours more of light per day.im sure if you put most autos on 24/0 or 12/12 from seed..and there might not be too much difference.the seed company tells you those times based on their growers results...so its kinda biased

18 6 light cycle WILL WORK FOR ALL AUTOS..SO GET SOME MORE GOING....
i wouldnt say 18/6 will work with all autos...some have a 60 day from seed harvest and they need all the light they can get.seeing as the big dark period is to help to get them to sex, enter the flowering process, and recoup...but they need the light to grow..or it wont have enough growth during its short veg period to make it develop fully.you can grow an auto on any light cycle...it will flower reguardless but if it dont grow before it flowers...your yield will drop dramatically.kinda the downside of autos...part of why im not growing them anymore..they are picky lil whores

i know u can put any auto on any cycle but will it diminish the yield, im expecting 2oz a plant as it stands if i throw in the ak's on the 18/6 will it lower the yield drastically.or could i put the ak's in at 4.5 weeks, then change it to the 20/4 when the lowryders r out, would that work?

The plant breeders recommend 20/4 lighting for all automatics. That's actually best for vegetative stage growth in regular plants according to Uncle Ben.

Happy growing.
