Lowryder x AK47 and Lowlife Blueberry Hydro Grow

My first time with auto flowering strains and with hydro also, the few times I grew before was in soil, so decided to try hydro and see how it goes. I have two different strain from two different breeders:

6 Lowryder 2 x AK47 Fems (2 are 20 days old and 4 are 1 day old)
8 Lowlife Blueberry Reg (they are 1 day old)

Growing in a 4'8x4'8 grow tent, for now the 2 older Lowryder 2 x AK47's are under 250hps, and the rest are under 2 54w 6500k T5s. In a week or so I'm going to buy a 1000k digital and a cooltube with a batwing from HTG.
As for nutrients, I'm gonna be using:
For veg, from day 14 - 21 only: Sensi Grow A & B, Mother Earth Tea Grow.
For Bloom: Sensi Bloom A & B, Bud Blood (for first week of flowering only), Mother Earth Tea Bloom, Big Bud, Carbload, Sensizym.
But for now all the babies are drinkin is clean water with 6 drops of Hormex and 2 of SuperThrive (everything per gallon), and PH is at 5.8.

Well that's all the info for now. I also attached a few pics, nothing special but I know how everybody loves to see pics, at least I do.

Any question or comments are welcome.

I dont think I'm doing this Hydro anymore, havent seen any good results in hydro with auto strains, they just jump into flowering too fast.

subscribed I am getting ready to grow Lowryder 2 x AK47 Fems myself. 1st time growing. Going to see how you do. I only have 3 seeds to play with.

DAY 3
I decided to not do the grow in hydro anymore, so I planted 8 Lowlife Blueberry and 4 Lowryder 2 x AK47 in 2 gal. pots with FOXFARM Ocean Forest, perlite, and a little bit of coco.
Watered them with:
2mL Mother Earth Grow Tea
1/4 tsp. SUPERthrive
3/4 tsp. HORMEx
PPM: 180
PH: 6.5
Is there a way to change the thread name ?? Since I'm not doing hydro anymore.
They still under the 250hps, will try to get the digital 1000hps and a cooltube this weekend.
Well, the growth of the babies are slow for now, so I'll update again in a few days with more pics, mean while any questions or suggestions?

DAY 6

Major change in grow tent today, got the new 1000hps and 8" cooltube, this shit is nice, really bright. Also got a High Velocity Inline Fan to cool the cooltube. Boy I am happy to finaly have a complete grow tent, still need a few more things, like C02 and a portable AC, but I'm good for growing now, gotta order more seeds, I want to fill that fuckin tent up.


In the tent right now temp. is 82.0 and humidity is 43%.
Man they were thirsty, so they got watered today with:
1mL Sensi Grow A and B
2mL Mother Earth Grow Tea
1/4 tsp. SUPERthrive
3/4 tsp. HORMEx
PPM: 285
PH: 6.5

There is of Lowryder 2 x AK47 seedling that there is something wrong with her, her growth is really slow I dont know what's up. Anyone know what's wrong ??

This is my first time growing auto strains, but I read that they can reach 3ft tall and 20 inches wide, and yield up to 2 1/2oz.

glad to hear you're happy with the new light. I wish I could leave my fans on full blast to get the most out of mine. So since I can't you gotta do it and I'll live vicariously thru you! You'll be able to get your light a lot lower than mine which will no doubt be noticed in yield...god maybe I should find an AC unit....

so your cool tube is 8" huh? Mine's only 6...I wonder if it makes a difference cooling wise? mine gets hot as hell

I would love a portable AC and co2. I have two problems tho. My gf is not down with me growing after my autos finish (she hates the fan noise) and I'd rather not spend another $400 on AC if I can avoid it.

One day it'll all come together...

Day 19

Today we had rain, so I collected some rain water to water my plants todays, they needed to be watered, So mixed up the following:

2mL Sensi Grow A and B
3mL Mother Earth Grow Tea
1/4 tsp. SUPERthrive
3/4 tsp. HORMEx
PPM: 350
PH: 6.5

I been having problems keeping the temp down, boy this light gets HOT. So I tryed cooling it with a DIY AC FAN. Did bring the temp down a bit, but the ice melts too fast, and temp rises again, then I closed a few AC vents throu out the house, so all the cold air is forced into the room where the tent is in, then ran a 8" ducting from the vent in the room to the tent, really helped out. Temp now is between 79-83 with light on, 30 inches away from plants. I really need to get a portable AC and a climate control, any suggestion on good cheap ones ???
Well thats all thats been goin on in the past few days.

To tell you the truth I don't know, first time growing auto-flowering strains.

They have grown a little bit in the past few days, found two males from the Lowlife Blueberry today, I think the is one more, but not sure, so I'll wait untill the morning to tell.

I just smoje some honey hash oil I from a few crystaly leaves I had, and boy it fuc*ed me up, I so high I been lookin at the screen of the PC for more that 40 min to right all this.
Well I post pics tommorow and more info.

they'll be showing sex anytime now. Take heart, with mine the males were 100% obvious by day 19 so I can almost guarantee you that whatever is left neutral after 19 days is female. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Day 17 (I messed up on the day on last update, stoner thing to do)

So far I have found 3 males and 2 females of the Lowlife Blueberry, so still 2 unsexed. Plants are small in next to the Lowryder 2 x AK47, they get feed all the samething.
As for the Lowryder x AK47, 3 are growin like they are tryin to win a race, but something is wrong with the leaves on 2 of them, leaves are curling up, what could it be ?? Will do a some research after done posting here.


The forth one is a little wierd, have no clue what's her deal, anyone has any idea what's up with her ???


Pic of all of them together, males are out. Middle back one is Bubbleberry from Sagamartha, sex is unknown, the only seed that germinated out of a 10 pack, God I hope she is a female, just have to wait and time will tell, if she comes out a female, I'm gonna be one happy guy.


As for watering and feeding, on DAY 12 and DAY 16 I watered them 400mL with:
3mL Sensi Grow A and B
5mL Mother Earth Grow Tea
1/4 tsp. SUPERthrive
1 tsp. HORMEx
(all per gallon)
PPM: 550
PH: 6.5

Day 21,

So now all I have is 3 Lowlife Blueberry and 4 Lowryder 2 x AK47 , all females. Check out attached pics.
This morning I got up from bed and went to check on my girls and water them, when I got there the lights where off, looked at the bulb and it was fucked up.



So I set up a few T5's I have, with two blue and two red spectrum bulbs, I did have 2 250hps bub I gave it away to a friend so he can start his own little grow, ya know someone helped me start, I can help someone start, keep the chain going. The are 9-11 inches from the tops. These lights are gonna have to do the job for a few more days, local hydro stores are closed on Sundays and Mondays.



Since the hairs have shown on almost all plants I decided to swich nutes from grow to bloom, they haven't been watered for 4 days and they are thirsty, so mixed up the following;


4 mL Sensi Bloom A and B
3 mL Mother Earth Bloom Tea
3 mL Liquid Carbo Load
3 grm Bud Blood
1 tsp Hormex
1/4 tsp Superthrive
(measurments per gallon)
Mixed 2 gallons of water and them added 1/2 gallon of clean water to make the mix lighter)
PH: 6.5
PPM: 545

Also did a little foilar sprayin;


3 mL per lt. of B-52.
PH: 6.5
PPM: 260

As for the problem with the leaves curlin, it was heat stress. Before the 1000hps burnt out, I raised it from 25 inches to 33 inches ans the temps droped a bit ans the plants started getting better.

No point cropping Auto strains as they don't have a veg period, as for LST, there really is no point as they don't really grow big enough. Mind you, my AK47's are really bushy and a little LST may have helped.

I had a similar weird looking Lowryder2 like yours in the pic, ended up growing 2 main colas!! hope you're that lucky.

Looking good so far, nice to have a fellow auto grower to compare notes with

I've read on a number of occasions never to give superthrive to flowering plants, makes the buds fluffy apparently.
Superthrive should really only be used on seedlings and sick plants and usually only 1 drop at a time (superthrive is very strong stuff)

I'd go easy on it or not use it at all.

YES it does split into two, this is a good thing then ?? But why is she smaller than the others ?

I was planning on using it this last time, I didn't even include it in the picture I took of the Bloom Nutes I'll be using. But thank you very much for the suggestion, I never really knew why not to use it, just knew it wasn't good to use superthrive during flowering.

sucks you had to buy a new light, but the plants look awesome
