Lowryder

Just ordered me 10 lowryder seeds.

Anyone tried them and had any problems with them? I decided to get them just because it'll be a quick and easy grow, with around 8 weeks flowering and autoflowering, and being small, i thought it would be better stealth-wise.

Are they as easy as they sound?

Any comments / tips appreciated.

I haven't tried the later versions of LR #2 and what not, but I grew it awhile back. They need a lot of light as they don't all get very big. On average 3-7 grams dry per plant.

These were mine. The small ones are all LRs and were female. The big one was a WWxLR male. Those two females were pure LR and you can see short, 4in and the other about 7in tall.

The last is a male from Sativa Skunk x LR and it AFed so I kept him contained and bred it with a LRxMaster Kush that AFed as well.

how about the growing times? do they grow as fast as i've read? or will they have to flower for a while after the 8 weeks ?

They will be finished at 8 or 9 weeks from when you germ them. They do not flower for 8 weeks. They will start flowering at around 3 weeks from seed and continue to grow. So that 2 months includes veg & flower time. You can grow them in 18/6 and they will still flower.

Seeds came Monday, checked them today and they all germed using two ceramic plates, a damp tissue. I kept them under the four skunk #1's in my garden bin stealth grow. Just finished planting them all in plastic cups and compost from a bag. Pics will come when they start to sprout.

I have a very stupid question though. One that i haven't found an answer to , with no lack or searching. But how deep do you plant the seeds? i planted my skunk #1's about an inch into the compost, and none of them have sprouted at all. Is this too deep?? with the lowryder #1's i've varied them from 1/4" to 1". is this ok? or shouldn't it matter?

LR is a very good strain to grow, a friend of mine just got done with his LR grow and it turned out great!

It's been about 2 days since i planted the germinated seeds, and 6 have sprouted already. one is upto half an inch and with a second set of leaves growing. not much, but enough the make me happy knowing that in 7 and a half weeks, they'll be ready.

not bad looking but tell me thats not aluminum foil lining that can. big no no, causes hots spots & can burn the plants.

8 Days old. I got impaitent and dug up one of the seeds because it hadn't sprouted, a day after the 9 had and by doing that, i ruined it. It looked like it was just about to pop With one of the smaller seedlings, i'm starting to water it with red food colouring in water, the same amount as indicated on the bottle for icing. I'm half expecting it to be unsmokable though. But I'd like to have some red bud as a change from green.

Well thats not the way everyone else has died there plants, not sure what that will do to it, if anything. Shouldn't hurt the plant, as long as non-toxic, maybe a little bit of color on the leaves by the time they finish. I don't think the pigment makes it through the soil that well. I seen fdd and so coloring an almost finished bud, colored it nicely but maybe harsh smoke.

I want to try on a hyrdo grow in the future, no soil to take the color away and plenty of time to flush that harsh taste.

Roots were starting to poke through the drainage holes in the plastic drinking cups, so i transplanted them into old plant pots. Not all the same size, but good enough until they start showing sex, then i'm going to transplant again into bigger pots after binning the males.

Not much progress since last pics, but the 3 leaf fans excited me, after all it is my first grow

I'm hoping that the one in the biggest pot will grow as big as possible, not much sign of that right now though.

Man, I thought I told you to get rid of that foil.

All nine are now dead. Last night, my girlfriend came back to our flat drunk, again. While shouting and screaming and throwing the wii i bought her at me, she threatened to phone the police about the grow. i knew she wouldnt as she'd get in trouble too, but the neighbours probably would because of the noise. One of them already had because of her screaming so loud. She gets very very voilent when she had even the slightest amount of alcohol. Anyway, even if the police weren't phoned, i decided that it would be best to cut my losses and not even attempt to revive the plants thrown across the floor and threw them in the bin. I'd rather loose out on money than get upto 15 years in prison for manufacturing, being as its been upgraded to class b now. I think i'll definately try again in the future, probably lowryder 2 rather than 1 though , and either hide it or wait until i have enough money so i don't need a flatmate that's my girlfriend.
For my first grow, a huge disappointment, but i think it's for the best atm.
