The acid we were getting was pills. Green flats, green pentagons, purple microdots, orange barrels, stuff like that. It was not till later did we start seeing blotter and window pane. Good times, intense trips, life changing trips.

I got it a Grateful Dead concert ( never a real fan of that flavor). However the drug scene inside and outside of a Dead concert was f'ing wild and wonderful back in those years (. I've never seen such spectacle).

We moved away to St Louis from a very conservative refinery town in 65. I thought I knew the score. Dropping acid was a revelation. I went back to the home town thinking well I'm going to be a damn hippy to these rednecks... Half the high school were tripping on mushrooms and really good Mexican weed was 90 bucks a lb. They were just as radicalized as we were back in the big city. And their weed was better.
