LST\4X4X8 (2) questions

How many girls can I comfrontable fit in a 4x4x8 grow tent with a 600 watt light one in still hold yeild and grade \ now lst how oftrn do I lst and do I leave them tied down the whole time for best result thanks in advance fam

4 plants main lined to 8 colas veged 2 months transplant to 3 gal pots on days 1 of 12-12 = 1 lb for me

I start them in large dixie cups and main line to 4 colas in those. then I transplant to a 1 gal pot after 4 or 5 weeks of vege and get them to 8 colas in there. After 8 to 9 weeks they go in my 4x4x6.5 grow tent in 3 gal pots. You have a higher ceiling than I do but I still recommend the first two weeks of 12-12 be done with a MH. It will result in less stretch(it works) and bushier plants.

Anywhere from 4 to 64 in a 4x4. The more plants the faster the cycle and less training. I would do 9 myself and top/FIM 1 or 2 times.

are u in soil or hydro? big dif.. if soil go few but large in hydro u can go either but if ur new, id just throw plants 4 per square foot sog style on a flood n drain table or dwc 3 gal buckets. just pack the buckets together as many as u can fit, no lst for sog..if u want to veg them for a few weeks then you will need to do some topping and training, to many people think a taller plant will yield more, on the contrary shorter plants will yield more given the amount of tops in the space, any more than 3-3and1/2 foot plants and the light cant penetrate to lower branches.if u go tall ull need to clip lower branches unless u like little buds and lots of trimming..my opinion only, lots to think about for u

Agreed, at least with top lighting only. Change the system over to a vert design (more side lighting than top lighting) and the taller plants will yield more, but take longer to yield it, effectively making it a tight race again for grams/sqft/time. If you aren't going with a vert design you just want to make(veg) a full canopy set your lights to put that canopy in the ideal range, and flower. The faster you make that full canopy the better your grams/sqft/time yield.

What this is about is having the right light for bud development. With top lighting you only have about a 16" range that is in proper light for bud development so growing a 4ft plant is a waste of time, only the top 16" will produce decent bud. With a vert system the whole room can be in this proper light zone.

More smaller harvests or less bigger harvests. I think longer grows = more risk so I would stick to top lights for $$$ grows. I'm going to try a vert system at some point, but just for personal bud.

9-12 3-5 gallon pots if going soil would be my recommendation, but this is a highly personal choice and there isn't a wrong or better decision.
