LST help!!

Ok, I have plants that are just a little over 3weeks old, with about 3-4 sets of branches and very dense growth.

I tried LST'ing one of them last night, everything went smooth with the counter tie and slowly bending the plant. When I woke up this morning I noticed some of the leaves that are on the underside of the bend, and elsewhere seem to be dying, shriveling up and getting crispy..
Is this normal?
Have I done something wrong?
I'm concerned that I'm killing the plant, and what happens if i remove the LST after she has been tied for a day or so?

I'm very concerned, so any suggestions will help! thanks!

did you kink a branch. lst should not be causing damage. was there something else you did at the same time?

No I made sure that I bent the plant very slowly, and it seems to be a smooth bend. I think i may have somehow kinked it in one area. its not all the leaves, just a couple.....LST shouldn't cause ANY damage if done right?
hmm that worries me, I think I did it all right.

I'm debating just taking it off if it continues throughout the day. Id rather not LST if its gonna do damage to my plant.
This is my first grow and the point was to experiment with LST'ing and such, so when I do it and it counts its done right,

I as of right now have 12 trees bent and I have not come across any damage cause by LST itself, on the other hand, I have kinked a few branches but even that did not cause any discoloration or drying of leaves.

go ahead and let them off their strings or whatever you are holding them down with for a good 24hrs, and then see what has taken place. If they seem to look fine just reapply the strings, Loosly!!! Put them on somewhat loose and then slowly make them tighter until they are at the desired level

p.s. just monitor them ea. day before you tighten them more, they will love you for it

You got something else wrong. think about the name alone.... LOW stress training. This should not make your plants die. You just didnt tie the damn thing like ground level did you?

thanks Graf, I will do that

also, I did water them on Friday with nutes so maybe I overdid it and im just seeing the effects today?

I'm definatly going to losen the ties though. and reapply if i get balsy

Dude as long as you used commen sense when you tied them down there is no reason to remove the ties. you have something else wrong

this is the way its done correctly though. Just thought i would add that in there. good job graf.

no its on a rought 90 degree angle
and it took me 20minutes to bend the damn thing slowly!!

I dont mean slowly in a half hour, I mean gradually ea. day.

just pay close attention to THEIR reaction,

fdd are you saying that could be it?
I highly doubt it was the LST'ing because i did everything right, and there was no kinks.

its probly the nutes ....
wah im a noob, sorry for making you all roll your eyes...
I'm learning though, and I appreciate the feedback

if you want to try... massage the stem you are bending and bruise it a little bit so it looses its stiffness then follow the same procedure (securing it down) and there is less of a chance for pinching.
