LST.. How Do You Guys Think I Did (Pics Attached)

Here is a pic from when I first LST'd this plant a couple weeks ago.

You can see I tied the top of the plant down, and then I pulled out two good looking branches that were growing and pulled them out to the side for more light.

yeah i can see that thanks!!!! now how will the two branches that you tied down grow? and this might be a bad question to ask after i have already LST my plant, what do i do when my plant is bigger? will i have to always tie it more and will i have to loosen the ties that i have already done? will i always have to have the strings tying them down? sorry for all the questions i am just trying to get my question across and i am pretty stoned

I leave mine tied down all the time, some people don't. You wont have to loosen the strings, you might have to tighten the strings or make them shorter.

The branches you tie down will start to grow straight up, so you have to keep re-adjusting where you tie it. I have been using paper clips straightened out then bent in half and stuck in the soil.

Here is that same plant tonight, it's been probably about a month

wow thats a great looking plant! i will probably start tying my plant down more tomorrow, thanks for the advice

just remember every plant is different, you gotta test it and see what the plant likes and what it doesn't like. some plants don't respond well to LST. so I wouldn't go all out until you test it out and see how the plant reacts to it.

Here's a couple plants I LST'd. one is a White Widow and the other is called Poke Nu Nu. What you're trying to achieve is to tie branches down so light can reach areas that otherwise wouldn't get much light, increasing yield. They both need to have it done again but I have to wait a couple days, they are getting transplanted into bigger pots Thursday. They didn't have any stress at all after I did this and I probably should have done it sooner. What I do, the branch you want to tie down, if it is "woody" or hard, hold it just below where you want to bend it, sort of like stacking your thumbs. Then bend it in all different directions to soften it up a little, the softer shoots you don't have to worry so much, just bend them over and tie off. And if you are using plastic pots, a neat trick is to drill a few small holes around the perimeter, gives you points to tie off to. I use wire, twist ties work too, string, be careful, don't tie it too tight.
