So I was tieing my tops back and where they split from the topping, the main stalk split about a 1/4". Can I leave it tied down to heal or should I untie and splint it together?!?!

I am not sure what you should do right now, good learning experiance for the both of us. What ever you do i would try to keep it wet. Next time you LST let the plant dry out, not too dry that its damaged, but enough that it starts drooping. Then its alot easier to work with, more flimsy.

^ Good advice. Before I LST i water the night before so that way the cells are swollen and flexible. I've never actually seen anyone say that though in a LST guide. Anyway, just tape it up for 2 weeks and don't touch it. Not sure if anyone has used a natural glue but it could be useful.

That exact same thing happens to me.. I twist tied it back together. Pay attention to it because I didn't and the twist tie embedded into the stem lol. Still got 3oz off it tho

I might try to just leave it as it, hopefully it will heal being tied down. I couldnt splint it being tied down as it is right now, just the stalk is pretty thick and I don't think I would be able to try lst'ing those two branches again

You can connect the break back together and if you have any wire ties tie it up for a little bit (the break) and it will mend back together. Just take the bandage off after its healed so it doesn't affect the branch as it grows.

Same thing happened to me as well, I'm sure it happens to any person who does LST eventually. I tied mine with a pull knot I made on the guts of 550 cord I took it off about 3 or 4 weeks later and it healed itself, hasn't been on since. Look at it as if you just cut yourself you want the skin to grow back together and heal sorta the same thing with the plant. It will heal with a scar. Id un LST it until after you tie it or duct tape it w/e you choose back together. If you don't fix it now its probably gonna be a problem and be to late soon and you might lose your plant or have a really stunted plant. After you secure it back together LST again just with a little less um-pf :)

tape it up! My friend had a way worse break than that and all he did was use clear tape to hold it together, fixed itself after that!

Had that happen I just kept the break closed for a while until it was nice and healed. I don't think you should keep it tied down, I'm pretty sure the break needs to be closed in order to heal.

I have heard that you could try and heal it with honey and then tape the motherfucker,it's like super croping the main stem. If it heals it will produce more..

Yeah i have seen pictures of plants that were tied and did alright. I have just never had to do this with my MJ plants. I tried it with a pepper plant and it failed, half of the split died, though that is alot diff.
