LST Question and others.

Sorry for the newbie question but I've been ready about LST and Topping.
1. When doing LST I've read you can reappear the process as many time as the grower would like but not too bushy either. So I've read . My question is when training the plant once I begin the flowering stage, do I remove the string so that it may grow taller? Or can I just keep it tied down through out the flowering?

2. TOPPING: when topping when exactly could I begin to too the plant and how many times can I do it? I read that. It can be stressful to the plant and can cause the buds to be not as potent? Any help would've appreciated I'm just trying to be ahead I my game so when it comes down to it I won't be stressed out. Thank you

The whole idea of lst is to train your plant into a lower profile and/or let more light in. Keep her tied down until she's finished.

As far as topping goes it's a personal preference. I like to top at the 4th node (giving me 6 heads). If I have the time I'll top those 6 again for 12. The more you top, the more shoots ya get.

I don't think there really is a such thing as topping too much, it's about space and light. The more you top, the more you need to train, and I would suggest using a Scrog method. You also need to trim out your under growth as you fill the canopy. Basically all your growth will be on a single layer so all gets light.

Also so would it be a good idea to tie down and top at the same time or can I only do one?

Both is fine. I would suggest giving them at least a week to recover after topping/training. Then flip. 2 would be better.
