LST tips

Hey everyone.
I have a plant that has a very leafy top. Every time I try to move them away to try to get more light to the new nodes, they always say “fuck you, I want light too” and move back.
Do you guys tie these fans leaves out of the way or just let him grow a little more first.

thanks!

I've only on my first grow so I'm no expert, but I've just started LST recently and also started some light defoliation to get more light to the bud sites. Mine looks around the same size as yours and it has responded well and continues to grow nicely. Yours looks healthy. I'm sure if you wanted to take a couple leaves away it wouldn't mind at all and it'll use the energy for new growth instead of growing those couple excess leaves.

I bend the branches with my finger and then candy cane a piece of wire and stick it down in the dirt to hold them down. Once they are long enough I tie them to the edge of the pot.

Another words I let them grow up and then bend them and tie them. I usually tuck my fan leaves when it’s this early.

The main thing is getting them pointed in the right direction early so it can be spread out as much as possible without pulling or stretching too much.

You're at the best time to start getting them out of the way. Whatever it takes, get them down. Auto grower.
