Ok...First of you're not going to get 30 plants in there because you need access each reservoir which means you can only do individual 5 gallon buckets. With that, you can only fit about 13 due to the fact that they are about 1 foot wide. As far as lights, with hid you're going to need to vent out the heat. With such an odd room that's going to be very hard, and very expensive since you'll need several inline fans just for the light reflectors. If you were going to use hid lighting, you will probably need at least (and I mean at least) 3 250 watt HPS's. They cover a 3X3 area so you'd be stretching it because a good 250 watt HPS bulb will give you about 30,000 lumens each, which would give you 90,000 divided by about 36.4 sq ft and that gives you just under 2500 lumens per sq ft. Usually you want to aim for 3000, so I wouldn't get very tall plants either. The more and more I type, the more I think this is not practical. If you add up some of the items I've already mentioned (3 250 watters with reflector and bulb-lets say $900, 3 inline fans-let's say $375, ducting-at least $50, then the hydro materials-pumps, tubing, air stones, buckets, nutrients, ph adjusters, ph meter, ppm ec tester, nutrients, I don't even know what else...) it just doesn't seem like you'll be able to use that space effectively. Anybody else want to add anything?
