Lumens

Hey guys,

i have a 400 watt hps and i just bought a 400 watt CMH bulp that only has 36,000.

Now ive read that you need about 10,000 lumens per plant.

Im just wondering if i could put 4 plants under the 400 watt hps? even though i technically do not have enough lumens?

These numbers are rough generalities, per square foot(not per plant). A CMH bulb has a better PAR value than a normal MH bulb. 10k lpsf is only optimal with CO2 supplement and a very fast system at peak flowering.
