if the window is cracked, just put the fan somewhere in the room - it will pull the air into the room, then into the fan.

Disguise the windwo how you would like. Sometimes I have to put something behind a curtain, like a broom handle or back of a chair - to keep it from obviously blowing back into the room.

Blinds in front, OSB or better yet plywood to fill in the window, secure with 2" or 3" screws, cut your hole(s), seal well with elastomeric caulk.

1/2" thick is the minimum I would ever personally use for this purpose, thicker material provides more security.

Any input on the subject ?
build a box around the window, completely sealed with a curtain covering the window... open it a small bit, add a screw or two so you don't get any curious hoodlums in there. Cut a hole and attach to your ducting or booster fan. Make sure that you put a pre filter on it too so that you're not sucking in dirt and bugs...

Haha. A lung is great in any garden. That's where I keep my ballasts to keep heat out of my room. And in the winter time it pulls super cold air through my lights which is a huge benefit. I recommend every Garden having a lung. It's smart.

It's not the smartest idea to have your window open all the time are you able to cut a hole in the ceiling to pull air through the attic? Just curious if you have to leave a window open that's kinda iffy.
