O.K. .... we have revised the Mission Statement to make it more efficient in describing it as a not for profit corporation.... here is a little General information pamphlet we made:
M.A.S.S.E.S.
Marijuana Advocacy Supportive Services for the Education of Society
Mission Statement:
To establish, oversee, and facilitate the operation of two acting divisions that will simultaneously strive to:
1.) Provide more practical methods of communication and networking between all Board of Supervisors approved marijuana advocacy groups and the general public,
2.) Establish self-sustaining chapters in local communities that will implement programs that benefit the local communities as well as the public image of the Cannabis Community,
3.) Provide specifically identified supportive services for Board of Supervisors approved marijuana advocacy group activities in local, regional, state, and national forums,
4.) Get the medicinal properties of marijuana federally recognized publicly and officially,
5.) Provide medical marijuana patients with Board of Supervisor approved supportive programs,
6.) End the prohibition of marijuana possession and cultivation in the United States,
7.) Provide Board of Supervisors specified and approved public service projects to the general public.
Here are the names and descriptions of the two divisions of M.A.S.S.E.S.:
The Association of Marijuana Advocates for Social Responsibility (A.M.A.S.R.)
This Division is the backbone of M.A.S.S.E.S. and its purpose is fulfilling the obligations and duties set forth by the Board of Directors and M.A.S.S.E.S. corporate officers that arise from the activities involved in completing the tasks set forth in the mission statement of M.A.S.S.E.S. Any person may join this association, however, members are required to attend weekly or bi-weekly M.A.S.S.E.S. meetings that will start in November of 2008, and are not official public or media representatives of M.A.S.S.E.S or it’s A.M.A.S.R. division. This division is still forming and being organized, and we need help with that! So become a member today! The first meetings will be held online, the dates and times of them will be emailed to you!
The Medical Marijuana Patients Cooperative Association (M.M.P.C.A.)
This division of M.A.S.S.E.S. is organized specifically for the purpose of providing supportive services, information, and medical marijuana to legitimate medical marijuana patients that are under the care of a licensed physician. Starting in California only, this will become a medical marijuana cooperative establishment under the articles of incorporation of M.A.S.S.E.S. M.M.P.C.A., once this association gathers enough verified patients as members and files the appropriate documentation with state and/or local governments and been issued a license/certificate to operate. Right now we are still gathering members, and are unable to fulfill the filing requirements for the State and/or local governments until we have enough verified members, so all we need is legitimate medical marijuana patients to apply for membership and provide their backing documentation in the form of a current verifiable doctors recommendation for the informed use of medical marijuana under proposition 215 in the State of California (after you are approved for membership, you will receive and fill out the application and provide the required medical documentation, if you cannot do so in 30 days your membership in this association will be terminated).
