M2 = >< per plant?

As a med user/grower I have a number of plant limit to stay under. As I look around at different strains they usualy list the yield by M2 (square meter). I understand they report the yields "under ideal conditions by knowledgable growers" but How many small medium or large plants to a M2? Any other guidance on per plant yields would be helpful. Thanks folks.

sorry about the double post. I got a server error so I thought it didn't post the first time. OOPs.

this needs to be answered because i always wanted to know too.
In the sensi seeds literature provided in each pack, it states that the m2 is calculated based on a sea of green in a meter square using a 400w lamp.

Plant numbers are irrelevant really, its more calculable to the light wattage per square foot and growing ability also plays a massive part.

It is true that number of plants per square meter is irrelevant to the way they figure yield. I also can see where number of plants is irrelevant to a commercial grow. BUT as I have seen tall leafy plants and short dense ones AND I am working a perpetual grow with a plant number limit then the yield per plant is very relervant. I will harvest, normally, 2 plants per month. I am considering- potency, yield per plant and growth characters in general while trying to choose a strain or 2 to improve my grow. Yield will vary by grower and even grow. I am and will be growing indoors and the kush I have now is adequate but when shopping: is there a rule of thumb or guideline or anything that will help me figure a baseline yield per plant from M2? Like for a plant listed as "short" can I take M2/16? or is M2/9 more acurate? On a "Tall" or 6'-8' plant would I use M2/4? In general taller plants would use a larger root system/container, right? Your thoughts please?
