Mail Order Meds - Does the CUPW agree?

Just wondering how the CUPW (Canada Union of Postal Workers) feels about their union workers being tasked at delivering meds after the pharmacies were afraid of getting robbed.

I wonder if any Union Representatives were consulted with these changes?

I'm sure their all for it...It will keep them all employed a little while longer. Postal services are becoming unnecessary. In a few years I could see Canada Post being phased out completely.

Not sure, but where there is a will there is a way.

From what I was reading in the new Reg's, the new LP's will only be able to mail a quantity that does not exceed 150 g - so for anyone who has a large script, they'd be getting multiple similar packages.

Some desparato could jack a mailman's whole bag or some really crafty peeps could train their own dogs to sit down beside any postal worker with a package of meds.

I am just thinking of all options to poke holes in this new proposal and get as many people worked up as possible.

Here is more scoop on fighting back for anyone who's interested. I posted it on another thread, but it's important so want to share again

I am trying to come up with some alternative ways to fight back that don't cost $$

Canadapost is already delivering under the mmar.
yes but on a very small scale, moving forward there would be a lot more product moving through the system I would think.

Anyway, if I do hear anything back from the Union Rep I contacted I'll post it up. I've already written to everyone else I can think of - haha!
