mail questions

so Ive been waiting on my grow to finally take hold and its been turning around after a slow start this year because of a few difficulties.
In the meantime Ive been getting pot mailed to me from a friend out of state so I can have some nice smoke.

Now what Ive come here wanting to know is to do with airmail security. Im sure tons of people have stuff that is illegal mailed to them through regular mail no big deal. Ive been doing it for little over a year now with not a single package being lost.

BUT What about airmail? The packages that I get dont have a lot in them and are always under an ounce of bud. Normal mail dosent bother me but my friend has been sending airmail recentlly because hes worried about how long it takes to get to me and the smell permiating the vacuum seal.

What im looking to find out is if anyone knows how often airmailed packages might be x-rayed? Do they xray them @ all or is it a certain factor that gets them pulled aside (random, large boxes, small boxes etc...)

no one knows how air mail operates and so many packages are entrusted to them? Hold crap that cant be good news.

I'm not sure about airmail, but one of my friends worked for Fed-Ex. He only caught pot when it was stinking the place up. The government actually sends some of their seized bud through the mail, believe it or not. My friend smelled out a package, and inside was government documentation about it's weight, etc.

yeah the smell thing is priority over anything else I know. It needs to be well vacuum sealed before sending to me. He bags it like 3 times so thats never to be worried about unless the package sits in the heat. For some reason the smell is a little noticeable then, which is why hes started using airmail.

On another note though....Dont send anything illegal through ups or fed-ex. Only usps 100% of the time. Reason being they have to go through more trouble to bother with opening up a package that they think is suspicious due to laws about tampering with the mail while ups or defex dosent have to do that being a private mail carrier...

someone on another site told me that using airmail should be safer as the package is rushed through faster and is given less chance to be checked.
I still think it would be just as easy to xray the box as it would be to push it on through...

any speculation on that?
