i have a umm... TIIIINY catastrophic problem. and i need advice i cant get any seeds or anything so this is all i got but i kinda decided to take the last plant (due to 1 seed not cracking 1 cracked getting light and being impatient and canning the 3rd) and transplant it from water that was holding water for over a week at a time before being remotely dry into some new organic all purpose i bought this morning and when iw as pulling it out of the soil i heard a root break while trying to uncover the main root as it wasnt a root ball. still fairly young only 4-6 inches at most about a month old (bad lights cant afford my HPS ballast) and i went ahead threw it in the dirt as fast i could got some water on it put it under the light and after about 30-45 minutes heres what it looks like:

ell ohh ell.. doesnt look like you have much perlite in the soil, just keep water moisture at a constant or try, just moist is fine for the first like month usually by then the plants are 6-12 inches, you shouldnt pull or fuck with the roots and get some CFl's at least..

a new grow from start might be your best bet.. : \

You shouldn't have tried to transplant it like that, or any way for that matter. The root hairs that absorb nutes and water are microscopic and VERY delicate, they always get some damage when transplanting. If you broke the main root the plant is probably toast. All you can do is wait and hope. Good luck.

winging it ehh? lol it may be somewhat difficult at first, but once u read some growfaq and sit here for hours and research things, you should have no problems,

you say like a 10-15 hps? are you sure its HPS not like halogen or something?

you have to have at least 1 CFL in your house.. they are very common, and only cost a few bucks.. i would take the most watt bulb but if it puts off heat keep it at a distance..

you will see a big difference once you have the right things.

you will be fine using the cfl for a while (the weird shaped one). the one on the left, the normal looking bulb, just get rid of it, it is next to useless. regular indandescent lightbulbs used for house lighting put out tiny amounts of light compared to cfl and hps, and are no good for growing. you're basicaly wasting your time with that. the one on the right does look like an hps, you dont know what wattage it is? use your cfl for the veg stage and for flowering stage use both the cfl and the hps lamp. but ideally get more cfls, which are very cheap at home depot or something. i regularly see these on sale for like $2 each. they say on them whether they are cool white or warm white. cool white is for vegging, warm white for flowering (ideally, although will work during either phase, just not very well).

anyway read all about lighting in the growfaq and all will be revealed.

good luck!
