Ahh, gotcha Scar...

Unfortunately, Maine's dispensaries do not dispense plants. And for the most part they don't really dispense meds either.
Good one here MB !! I drove by the one in Auburn the other day and I got scared straight seeing the Armed Guard at the door !!

Seriously? lol that is pathetic. They'd put their resources to better use guarding places that sell oxy or alcohol even.

First of all, I wish to thank the gifter :-) for the (4) lovely ladies that I received today ... They are (4) Northern Light Blueberries and have graduated from Prep School, and are now taking their first course in the medical field. :-)

Currently they are bathing under the warm light (HPS) 400 watt (17 inches away from the tops). The fan is blowing a gentle breeze, the temp is 81.1 and the humidity is at 31%. They are housed currently in red solo cups with FFOF, and will be gingerly transplanted tomorrow into their new residence (5 gallon grow bags) It was good to know today that one several experiments, the tap water that we have here came out at 6.1 to 6.3 (4) times. So tomorrow, Elvira, Goldie Locks, Afro Dite, and Chaka Khan get their new digs. I have uploaded several pics, and will be posting more as they develop.

I want to thank all of you for your input and comments ... they are all so very much appreciatted :-)

God Bless. Peace and Love

Very nice maineyankee. I didn't know anybody else around here was growing the Afro. I chopped one plant of that in my last harvest and loved it. More in the pipeline. Love how it grows, and it's couchlock for me.

Thanx Tet for the compliment ... Have to laugh tho ... Reason: All (4) are Northern Light X Blueberry Strain. I have a pet thing where I name everything in sight ... My "73 Stang is Rhiannan, My 2010 Jeep is Jezzabel etc. So here I am with (4) new ladies and therefore the names :-) It should be Aphrodite, but I kinda like the Afro Dite aspect of the writing of it :-)

Love ya, and thanks again for the thumbs up :-)

LOL that's funny. It is a strain, Afrodite from Kannabia Seeds. Awesome weed, grows like a cactus, single beefy stalks without a lot of side branches. Strong smell, potent.

I've heard dicey things about Kannabia - poor germ rates, non-auto strains flowering in veg, etc. Saying that the Afrodite doesn't have much side branching is just another strike against their gear, IMO.

Just thinking out loud here ... For some reason I trust Mainers a little bit more than the General Public on RIU. Can I ask some questions concerning my first grow experience in here? I do not want to start something and break forum rules ... Just wondering and if so, please delete this post ...

The (4) NLB's are under a 150 MH lamp about 13 inches from the tops of them. Is this lamp unit going to carry through the veg aspect of the grow? The unit was purchased at HTG - Supply and is the 150 Watt variety.

Thanks so very much in advance. :-)

It depends how big you want to grow them. A 150 mh for 4 plants isn't going to provide much light coverage once the plants get to be 2ft or bigger.

Is that all you have for lighting? If you had a t-5 or even some t-8 shop lights along side the 150 mh you could possible get them even larger.
What do you plan to flower under?

Thats for responding to my query My :-)

Currently I have on hand the following bulbs: MH 150 Watt (Currently using for the veg cycle) (Closet Grow Space) ... Once the plants attain the height of 20 -24 inches, I plan of flipping them to the cab that I have seperate from the closet. Here I have an HTG - Supply Unit ... It has a 400 Watt Ballast with a Cool 6 Reflector; Bulbs are ; (1) Argomax HPS 400/Hort 19P ; (1) HTG Supply High Output HPS 400 Watt 55,000 Lumen.

Any suggestions ?

The 150 mh is fine considering you will only be using a 600w hps after., You ca also go to lowes and get some white cfl bulbs to supplement as side lighting. You can get these y splitters, and even make a 4 banger with cfls to hang. So its real easy to add another 50-100 watts just in a few cfls.

You should consider white widow for your next grow. Great indoors and loves maines summers also

Go maine!

Did you buy that tent set up already? Go with a 600w, you wont regret it one bit.Like putting money into your kitchen or bathroom, always get your moneys worth + some.If not, 400 hps is fine for your first garden.

Just keep in mind plants can double and triple in size from the day you switch 12/12

tet looks great! nice and brite white :) and i like your DIY cloner too
thanks cerberus. Not all that DIY though. They were out of the buckets is all, so I used a home depot one. Outrageous amount they charge for the stupid parts. And the cover! 12 %$$#!!@# dollars! But I did buy it lol

lol. I am going to make a new aero-cloner soon. something that will stay cooler, those EZ cloners are kinda shitty, and the motor gets old and startes to run to hot.. this need for a new cloner, has kept my eyes open to people's cloning machines.

tell me about the prices of some shit! I am in the middle of a DIY water cooled room unit, and i cut the price in 1/4 by going to graingers for my parts instead of a grow shop AND the owner is a buddy! that means the prices are to high even with a friends discount!! its ridiculous..

either way, your machine seems to be working good
