careful, could be the perfect phishing scam to find peoples homes. Would be cool if it was true though, but something tells me i doubt the state would set that up as a free service considering they charge a hefty fee even for medicaid people to get marijuana from a dispensary

Theres a need for a local seedbank, we all violate federal law every time we order seeds under the current system. Seeing some of the governers appointments leads me to believe this new dept. head will not be very helpful

From the get go the state hasn't been very helpful or receptive to the program. Do what I did, stop buying Fem seeds and breed your own

Thats the way Amerika works, Its wrong unless you "pay for permission".

Anything you need to "pay for permission" to do, you can do without paying.

Sigh.

i commend you on your skepticism but... the state did not set this up; The Maine Patients Coalition did. And you cannot use Medicaid for cannabis in any way shape or form.

The Maine Patient's Coalition website has a list of their current beans available here. Apparently, they are an advocacy group for low-income medical patients, something that is sorely needed in this state.

It's still not set clear in the law whether this is legal or not, so I'd be careful in engaging with it. It's something I'm working on with the department, though.

I have been talking with Chris Kenoyer since I got the info last night. All he is able to help with at this time is 6 seeds....he is in Portland & knows he is in a "grey area" of the law. Here is the last note I got from him.

Robin

I will get back to you in the AM & set up the details with you.

do you have transportation to come to Portland?

Please realize that at this point of time, I have "No Idea Yet..?"

How the State Of Maine Or The DEA is going to like my FREE seedbank

'Its In a Grey Area Of Maine State MMJ State Law

So I will need you to provide me with "Photocopys Of Everything"

Your DR's Written Rec
Your SSI Proof Of Income Letter
Your State ID & Or DHHS Issued Medical Marijauna Patient ID Card.

& You bring the orinials of all 3, Those I just need to view them in the Real Copys

I Got To Legally Cover My Backside! :)

Chris

So, it is obvious that this coalition knows the risks, and I figured I would pass the info along. I really liked one part I read on the webpage that they ask that everyone they help, puts a little of their harvest aside for someone else that can't afford meds. I have always believed in "Pay it Forward"

He's giving seeds to registered patients on fixed incomes. He's requiring proof of disability/retired status and proof of legal status. If he sticks to that any attention that he draws will reflect badly on the authorities; they will appear to be picking on someone helping sick people who can't afford the ante to get into the game.

WoW, after checking out his site, hes doing really good things for maine patients. i dont think iv ever seen anyone treat the MMJ quite like he is. I applaud his attention to the low income people. reg dispensary prices are way out of league for these folks.

Now to see how much attention he gets from the bad guys.

Whoa, I didn't notice his name at first. I'd stay far away, in some way this will end badly

I had been emailing with the guy until, in reply to me saying that he was doing a good thing, he wrote "remember that next time you hear someone talking shit about me". I then googled his name and found lots of people saying shit about him over a long period of time.

Chris had drawn a lot of attention to himself over the past few years. I remember reading some unfavorable things in the past. I've never had any dealings with him, looked around his website and noticed the weird anonymous email thing

We aren't supposed to be selling seeds, someone with his high profile will surely draw attention, especially with a press release. This seems like a problem waiting to happen, that just might be his intent. Push the limits and see what happens sort if approach.

Either way I would sit back and see what happens, my thought is that he's gonna get pinched
