Mainline - is hole in main stem bad?

I just cut my plants to try some mainlining. One of my plants had a hole down the center of it already. Do I need to tie it off or plug it, or will it be fine left alone?

Red Eye - thanks man.

I was thinking I cut too late, as a thinner stem may not have been hollow yet. My concern was of it drying out or something. Happy to know it is normal and will have no ill effect.

Loved the cork comment bud ;) Funny guy eh. Hahaha

Hey better to find out the easy way rather the hard way....it'll close off in a day or 2. Had the chance so I seized it.

I've used those holes to pump nutes directly into the plant. :bigjoint:

She has been topped twice on each new branch, and now she has 36 tops. I'm amazed to know so many tops are on this tiny plant.
The stem is thick af. Pics are oldest to newest.

Hole never did fill in, but it doesn't seem to have had any ill effect. I'm really happy with how these girls have responded. Almost time to fip.

In the future if your worried duct tape. My plants are like a red green show filled with duct tape from bending and breaking. Ive never had a disease or issue with duct tape. I have it in all three of my grow areas at arms reach just broke my stem on grandaddy mainline today and its all duct taped up.

Honey is an ORGANIC ANTISEPTIC & DISINFECTANT, for inside , AS LONG AS U DONT HAV BUGS BEFORE , outside -honey would attract pests , but clay will work out of the wound as the plant recovers . J.

Sub cool mentioned in the weed nerd rb that hollow stems relate to potency in the book Michael stark the marijuana potency.
