I was thinking I cut too late, as a thinner stem may not have been hollow yet. My concern was of it drying out or something. Happy to know it is normal and will have no ill effect.

She has been topped twice on each new branch, and now she has 36 tops. I'm amazed to know so many tops are on this tiny plant.

In the future if your worried duct tape. My plants are like a red green show filled with duct tape from bending and breaking. Ive never had a disease or issue with duct tape. I have it in all three of my grow areas at arms reach just broke my stem on grandaddy mainline today and its all duct taped up.Hole never did fill in, but it doesn't seem to have had any ill effect. I'm really happy with how these girls have responded. Almost time to fip.
