Major Leaf Issue in late Flower

Return of the Spork

Well-Known Member
This is my first flowered plant.
Hydro, E&F
~1200ppm
400W HPS

Just started week 7 and the trich's are still mostly clear, maybe 20% cloudy. I intended to start flushing today or tomorrow.

Over the last couple of days the leaves have been yellowing, I read that it was a normal part of the process. Today I open up the cab and find that ALL of them are either yellowed, near dead, or already dead.

There weren't a lot of lower fan leaves on this plant, but all the way to the top of the plant, even the little small fan leaves that are on the buds are yellowing and dying off.

As far as I can tell, the buds look okay. They are green and sticky...but I need to know if this is a problem or if I should flush now and harvest early. I don't really feel that I have the time to start pushing more nutes down it, but I am also worried that it won't be able to survive a medium length flush.

I have a very good idea what the problem is, but my hands were somewhat tied and I don't want this to go to waste as the alternative is...expensive.

Last Thursday, when I changed nutes I changed from AN's 3 part, to AN's Sensi two part. The vegetating plants didn't show any issues, but if there is something I did that could be the problem it could be the nute change that did it. I was just out of 3 part and didn't want to buy more.

So is this somewhat normal? Something super serious? Flush now and Harvest asap? Or just flush and harvest as planned? Can it survive 10ish days?

Forgive the orange color, obviously HPS and my ineptitude with a camera. I know the buds are hard to see in these pics, but they all look healthy and green, I just want to know if I have to act now to keep em that way or not.

1 & 2 - One week ago in Week 6
3-6 - Today in Week 7

So yeah, what should I do?

look fine to me just want you want-that yellowing with the brown edges is potassium def prob coupled with n, which again is what you want. if you are in soil, give flushing with molasses a try

Not sure about them going yellow quickly but I notice some yellowing about two weeks in and then all the larger leaves start to yellow and fall off as the weeks go on. This progresses through to the bud leaves about harvest time. I have includes some sample pictures. I still have not figured a way to decrease this problem.

I use: Fox Farms Grow big ( Half dose) and Big Bloom (full dose). I water with both during flower but use GB only every third or so watering. The dirt is no nukes dirt with 50% verm added. I also switched to larger 3 gallon pots after the pictures.

The first picture is actually a clone of the same plant that is in flower. The last picture is some yellowing and stretching after putting in flower.

bud rot would be the main thing to harvest early. dude, they look like they are supposed to. you wont need a long flush as she is already deficient. maybe 5 days.
