Major Newbie LOL

I am so new to all this and I have to say I am beyond overwhelmed with all the information about growing. I thought it would be an easier way so that I knew exactly what I was getting to be able to produce my own oil but maybe not :( There is so much to take into consideration. I thought ok I will grow one plant so that I can make a little oil to get started, right? NOT so simple LOL. Besides, green thumb ain't in my vocabulary. I would have to build a little greenhouse outside somewhere and try to hide it from nosey neighbors and then there's the aroma LOL. I think my head is going to pop like a grape soon LOL.

Thanks Scroglodyte. I have been doing a lot of research and watching a lot of videos till my eyes have popped out LOL. I just don't have the money to waste in case I screw it up, ya know.

Your best research will involve reading imo. Vids are not an info-dense format.
Also, growing outdoors in a neighborhood has all sorts of liabilities. You'd be safer taking it indoors, unless pets&kids moot that option. cn

Thanks cannabineer. I have been doing a lot of reading too. Growing indoors would probably be ideal, but it would cost major bucks which we don't have. No income except disability and more going out on bills than comes in, just like everyone else these days, huh? I'll keep reading though :)

I hear you about the disability. I would love to try growing outdoors, but even in this semirural area that's far too dangerous. I have discovered that growing indoors hones a number of skills, which is a nice way of saying "offers many opportunities for failure". And doing it on the cheap is a heartbreak imo. Best luck. cn

I know it's ridiculous that a plant that grows wild causes such controversy. It would be an expensive learning curve just for one or two plants LOL. I've been reading a lot of threads and it's hard to choose who is right and who is not so much lol. One says do this and then someone else says no not that way do this. It's all very overwhelming and confusing lol.
